Chapter 57 - Man United Match

Old Trafford roared with anticipation. The stadium had come alive again, the sound of the crowd reverberating through the air. The players lined up, eyes locked on the field, the tension building with each passing second.

The whistle blew. The game began.

Thud. Thud. Thud.

United took control early, shifting the ball with ease. Valverde was everywhere, his energy lighting up the midfield as he intercepted Norwich’s first attempt to attack. He quickly flicked the ball to Nathan, who was waiting at the edge of the box, poised.

In the blink of an eye, Nathan took a quick glance at the keeper, then at the space ahead. He felt it. . The perfect timing. He shifted his weight, his left foot pulling back.

The ball flew.

The sound of the ball hitting his boot rang out, a clean strike that felt almost too easy. The ball soared through the air. Norwich’s keeper, the hapless Tim Krul, barely had time to react.

The stadium erupted. A collective roar of disbelief filled the air as the ball slammed into the top corner of the net, far out of reach.

Nathan didn’t celebrate wildly—there was no need.. He turned and jogged back to the midfield, the sound of the crowd buzzing in the back of his mind. His teammates were already high-fiving.

"Nathan’s done it again!" the commentator shouted.

Zirkzee slapped him on the back, a grin splitting his face. "You’re insane, mate."

Nathan barely nodded. He was already looking ahead. There was no room for complacency. Not now.

Halftime. Manchester United 2 – 0 Norwich.

The team walked into the locker room, their faces glowing with the high of the first half. Zirkzee was already teasing Nathan about his second goal, while Bruno and Casemiro were exchanging some banter over tactics.

The coach entered, his expression serious but satisfied. "You’re doing well," Amorim said, nodding approvingly. "But don’t get comfortable. There’s a second half to play, and Norwich will come out fighting. They’ll throw everything at us."

Nathan just nodded, not really hearing Amorim’s words. He wasn’t concerned about what Norwich could do. He wasn’t concerned about anything but himself. He wanted more. Always more.

Klopp had seen countless talents in his time, players who were supposed to be the next big thing, the ones who promised greatness.

A counterattack. It came fast and with the kind of speed that only a few players could generate. Valverde, who had been everywhere on the pitch, picked his head up and looked forward. He saw it.

Nathan, in open space. The through ball was perfectly weighted.

Nathan, always aware, took one touch. His foot moved in perfect harmony with the rhythm of the game, and in one fluid motion, he sent a stunning reverse-angle cross into the box. It was delicate. It was deadly.

Zirkzee was there. The ball met him mid-flight, just a half-second before the Norwich defense could react.

The stadium went wild. Zirkzee had scored, and the stands were shaking with excitement. The scoreline stretched to 4-0. It was over. Norwich, though still fighting, had been buried under the weight of United’s brilliance.

The crowd erupted. The players celebrated with exuberance, but the scoreline had already spoken for itself. 5-0. United was on a rampage.

Nathan stood at the edge of the box, watching.. Five. Five goals.
