Jack sat in the nearby chair and thought to himself.

Is it really this simple to meet her? After all, the post of chief detective in this agency is second only to the director of the agency; this whole investigation department was under her control.

He thought it would take some time and effort to meet her, but his goal was about to be easily achieved. Jack felt relieved inside.

The officer who just ran inside returned immediately. "What took you so long? Everyone was waiting for you." He held my hand and started to walk across the many work tables and reached the main room where the chief detective’s office was located.

The officer who held my hand and walked me here patted my shoulders and said,

"You can go inside,"

with a teasing smile on his face. While Jack watched silently everything happening, he didn’t react to anything.

But inside his mind, what the hell is this person doing? Why was he acting so friendly with me? There must be some misunderstanding going on. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

Even though this is a misunderstanding, Jack didn’t care. He opened the door and entered inside.

Inside was a spacious room. There were lots of medals and pictures of our country’s national leaders hung on the wall.

And a big table, and a lot of files were stacked there and arranged in neat order. Jack finally looked at the figure who was sitting behind the files.

There sat an Asian cold beauty wearing the official chief detective uniform, looking at him with a cold gaze.

After the experience with Lara last time, this time he lowered his expectations about meeting beautiful women everywhere. He didn’t expect that Alice would be a great beauty like this. My heart felt like it was about to leap out from my body from the excitement.

He also let out a sigh of relief. His next suitable target had arrived. If I could make her fall in love with me and loyal to me, then my influence will increase in the town with her backing.

Seeing him looking at her in a mesmerized gaze, Alice frowned slightly and said,

"You can sit down."

"My uncle said that you will arrive in the evening; we can go out for a date at that time. I didn’t expect you to arrive this early."

Jack finally snapped out from his stupor and looked at Alice and thought to himself, what a heaven-sent opportunity, and immediately replied to her,

"It’s just that I can’t wait until evening to meet you. Can you leave work early for me? I know it’s too much to ask, but can you try it?"

Alice looked at Jack and thought to herself he was her fifteenth arranged date set by her uncle. If she were to try to ruin this date also, then I can’t receive my uncle’s scolding further.

Even though I don’t like to get married, her uncle was the one who raised her since childhood with great care and was her only family.

Since I already reached 30 and still didn’t have any boyfriend or anything, seeing there was no hope for me in romance, he started forcing me to date and get married.

At first, she sabotaged all the dates, threatened the men who came to see me, and made them run away. It made her uncle extremely upset. He was always putting on an angry face and not speaking to me these days.

This time, she decided to go for a date just to satisfy him. As she thought it was just eating food in the restaurant, so nothing would go wrong.

But what she doesn’t know was that her entire life will change upside down after this date.

While thinking this, she looked at Jack and said,

"Okay, we will leave in two hours from now."

Seeing her accept this easily, his heart started to get excited once again. The only fear of her original date arrival was cleared.

Alice looked at him and said,

"Can you wait outside? I will come to you after two hours."

Jack, who had decided to wait inside her office for two hours to make her affected by the pink mist in that closed-door circumstance quickly, saw that plan ruined by Alice immediately.

Jack didn’t object to her and said,

"Then I will wait for you outside."

Even though he has this ability, he still was somewhat wary of her. After all, people in high positions have more experience and have also seen many things in life. If he acted rashly, it would definitely be seen through by her; it would only raise suspicions. Then this would turn into real danger.

He acted carefully, not wanting to develop suspicions early; otherwise, this heaven-sent opportunity to make this Asian beauty his would be wasted.

He came outside from her office, went to the waiting room near the office, and sat on the sofa.

Five minutes later, the previous officer who walked him to Alice’s office came with two other people with a teasing smile on his face.

"Man, you are really lucky to come to this level. The previous men who were sent by her uncle were scared away immediately and ran without looking back."

Jack looked at them and didn’t say anything, just smiled politely and nodded at them.

One of the officers said to the other men, "Do you think the boss will go on a date with him? I think there is a possibility. He is the fifteenth now. At least to satisfy her uncle, she needs to go on a date with him this time."

They started to discuss among themselves. Jack looked at these three people and thought I’m just sitting here, why are these people gossiping about me right in front of me?

After some time, they finished their discussion and walked away from the waiting room. The previous officer, before closing the door, said,

"Good luck for the date, man. Bye."

As he was saying this, the other two gave mocking laughs. Seeing these people’s mockery, Jack didn’t mind them.

Because their boss soon will become one of his women. If given the chance, I will taste this cold Asian beauty tonight.
