Street thug with a charming ability

After we discussed further about tomorrow’s visit to the supermarket and the meeting with her friend:

"Okay, I will go to my apartment to take some dresses and other necessities. And I also need to inform Lucy about living here and ask her to pack her things as well.

Jack immediately informed her that they would be living in Emily’s house temporarily, because he still didn’t know, with this ability he had and how it would change their life in the future.

"Pack only your dresses and daily necessities. This apartment will still be ours; we don’t need to vacate, so don’t take things that are unnecessary."

After that, both Jack and Lucy finished their dinner in their apartment, packed their belongings, and went to Emily’s house with their luggage.

When Rachel arrived in the late evening after she finished her classes, Jack had already left by that time.

"Mom, I’m home."

Rachel looked around the hall and didn’t see Jack; only Emily was sitting there.

"Where is Jack, Mom?"

She casually started asking questions as soon as she entered the house.

She acted like nothing had happened in front of her mother since morning. Emily also didn’t make things awkward for her daughter and acted naturally with her, like before.

But both of them, deep inside, knew that things would not be the same from now on.

Seeing Rachel asking for Jack, Emily informed her:

"Jack and Lucy will be living here from now on, so he went to his apartment to pack his luggage and also bring Lucy with him today."

Rachel, as soon as she heard this news, felt excited inside about how they would be living together from now on.

When Jack and Lucy arrived at Emily’s house, it was already late.

They didn’t sleep; they were sitting in the hall. Both the mother and daughter waited for him to return. As soon as they opened the door, both of them hugged me together.

Jack hugged them back, and Emily took the luggage from both me and Lucy and placed it nearby in the hall.

After that, everyone went to sleep in the same bed as yesterday.

The next morning, around 11:00 o’clock,

Emily woke me up and reminded me about the meeting with the supermarket owner.

After that, Jack finished his morning routine, ate the food prepared for him by Emily, and dressed himself for the meeting.

Emily took her car key and gave it to me, and I drove the car toward the supermarket Emily mentioned in the town.

When we reached outside the store, we parked our car in the parking area and went inside the supermarket.

Jack surveyed the location; it was located in a decent area, and the size of the store was average, but it was okay for me.

While I was observing everything inside the supermarket, a fat woman opened the door and, as soon as she saw Emily, she ran toward her and hugged her tightly.

"Emily, I’m happy that it’s you buying the store."

Emily looked at her friend, who was smiling at her as if the deal was already signed, and said,

"Lara, it’s not me who is buying the store." She signaled with her hand toward Jack and said, "He will be the one buying your store, and he will decide whether to buy it or not after our discussion."

Lara looked at Jack, who was surveying everything in the store, the arrangement of the products and the workers.

He watched everything and sensed that everything was good. Then why was this person selling this good store?

Then he came toward Emily and the other woman near her.

Emily immediately started to introduce:

"Jack, this is Lara, my friend I mentioned before. She is the owner of this supermarket. Lara, this is Jack, my friend who is interested in buying your supermarket."

He looked at the fat woman in front of him and was a little disappointed inside; his thoughts were that Emily’s friend should be a beauty, same as her.

He didn’t show the disappointed look on his face. He looked at the fat woman in front of him and said,

"Lara, from the look of things happening here inside your store and its location and the staff working here, everything was good. This store must provide good money, and if I buy this, it will be a great investment."

Lara, hearing the person in front of her praising her store like this, felt proud and arrogant inside.

Jack continued,

"The problem is, what is the reason for you selling such a good thing to us?"

Emily said, "You had some personal reason. Care to explain to us what that personal reason is?"

Jack was a person who lived on the streets and grew up in a corrupt and inhumane orphanage.

He came from the ugly side of the world. Even though Emily was more experienced in business, she couldn’t match Jack in this thing because he had seen more of these kinds of problematic matters than her.

He could easily identify the ugliness in people’s hearts. He also believed there were no free pies falling from the sky, like in stories, in the real world.
