The ghostly cries were continuously coming from the sky, while on the ground, we stayed silent, close to each other. Waiting for Ron to come down or break the spell, whatever he was planning, didn’t really have much effect on our survival.
"What is doing? Should we go there?" Emi mentioned, raising her black wings.
She reminded me that we could also go there to watch the show, with our Wing of Dead and Eyes of Void; there was nothing stopping us.
"No, we will stay here; that is some unnecessary risk, and we should avoid it like a smart person." I gave her a lecture; of course, she was the reason I didn’t want to go up there and watch the show.
I was able to feel the vibration within these silver strings, for the first time, something external was affecting them. I still didn’t know what these silver strings were for, and what kind of talent this was.
Well, it was the same for every talent; I had always been using them without proper skills. Just going with the flow.
Sigh~
There are too many things for me to learn, and I also have to get rich soon. There was too much burden on my shoulders.
Time continued to pass while we waited for Ron to come down. But just when I began to think that this mf was waiting for our mana reserve to dry out, the sky finally split open, as we saw the blue moon hanging high above in the sky, with countless tiny stars shining under the silver starlight.
In the sky, Ron was standing there, his gaze staring down at us. We have already deactivated the Void Eyes to show presence.
I looked at his face, which was completely pale; even his eyes were hollow.
"Is he planning to attack us?" Emi asked, staring right into his empty eyes, which had turned completely black.
"Might be," I replied. This thing had been happening very oddly since we came, I won’t be shocked if Adrine and Ron, both of them, turned out to demon, who were fooling us with those great clan’s tales.
"Fuck, all of this is really messing with my head." I felt the headache while thinking about these things, so I used Hellfire to suppress my headache as usual, thousand problems and hellfire being my default solution.
"Don’t you think you are using this hellfire too much? Look at your skin," Emi pointed at my hands, when look at them, my skin had turned even paler than Ron’s.
Since we have come here, I have been using the hellfire a lot, almost forgetting the cost of using it. This was slowly turning me into a living corpse. If I continue like this, one day I will be like those vampires shown in the movies. I already have the crimson blood talent, so it won’t be wrong to consider myself a vampire.
While I was thinking all this bullshit, Ron had suddenly teleported right in front of me. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
Smash!
The next instant, I was flying like a broken kite; half of my facial proportions had been distorted from his single punch. But it wasn’t that bad enough to affect my thoughts, though it hurt; it wasn’t enough for me. Under the hellfire, the pain was negligible, but the effects weren’t.
"Chee... cha..."
Mink was quick enough to jump away from me in time, going for Ron’s head as usual, to his nature. This guy had a special love for people’s heads.
His attack did nothing to Ron, but he brought us enough time for Emi to activate the Void Eyes. Emi was out of this battlefield with the Void eyes. Leaving the battle for me.
I looked at the surroundings because the difference between our strengths was enormous. I needed a weapon, and I quickly spotted the sword that Sabrina had used to cut my chest.
Now, I was going to test its sharpness against Ron. Before I could even make my move, he suddenly, right in front of me, delivered another blow to my face.
It was completely unacceptable; I needed to get back on him right now. I didn’t use my void eyes this time, going for him head on. This mf needed to learn his place. The silver thunder burst out from my body, with crimson blood and silver thunder joining together, and my face instantly returned to normal.
I have collected so many healing skills; they weren’t just to sit around; their combined effect should even be able to bring back the person from the edge of death.
Ron again tried to hit me on the face, but this time, I was able to dodge his fist. I was ready to strike back when he delivered the kick at my head. The difference between us was huge; he was clearly a martial arts genius, learning them from a young age, while I am just the most talented person, who could get everything naturally without practising.
It had been only a few days since I got the talent, and I was already matching the people with family heritage and decades of training. Clearly, I am better.
’Stop glorifying yourself, use the Eyes of Void, let’s leave.’ While I was dealing with Ron, Emi contacted me through the string of love. It can also be used to talk like telepathy.
"Wait for a bit, let me get even on him, then we will leave," I said to Emi, while throwing at Ron’s chest. Of course, he was able to avoid my blows easily, with his extreme speed and skills.
It didn’t mean I was losing; I was also learning his skills, with the help of Sky Heart, I was able to understand his fighting style. Learning his moves was a good deal for this short-term pain.
Bang! Bang!
I have to admit there was a huge difference between us, even while using the Sky Heart talent. I still wasn’t free from his assault.
