"I am sorry," I apologised, but my eyes were still on her wound.

Though it wasn’t bleeding anymore, it was something caused by me. Throughout this journey, she had to suffer a lot; maybe not taking her with me would have been a good decision for her.

But I was selfish enough to have her with me, just to get some extra power-ups, on the way.

She didn’t say anything as I wiped the blood from her hand. Her wound had instantly stopped bleeding with my blood manipulation, but there was nothing that could be done about the pain she was suffering from.

My teeth marks were clearly on her hand, sinking deep into her skin. After the moment of silence, I looked at her face and her teary eyes.

I didn’t know how to console her, because this was just awkward, beyond words.

I diverted my gaze, unable to make eye contact with her. This was the first time she had gotten a wound this deep.

I took a deep breath and opened the system in silence, looking at the rewards that I had gotten.

Which was a way too serious drawback, I continued to check other rewards, though turning my back to her felt wrong, I still continued.

Finally, this was the thing I was looking for, but the description didn’t sound pleasant at all.

I turned to her, looking at the wound on her forearm, but in the end, I didn’t use it; she wasn’t something I could experiment on. By now, her tears had lessened a lot, so I decided to pull her into my embrace to make up with her.

I might be a little selfish guy for now, but in future I will definitely be prepared for things like these in advance.

She hugged tightly and began sobbing, but didn’t complain about why I bit her so hard. I patted her back and turned to the system, taking a look at what these 10 forbidden points will unlock for me.

As I confirmed the payment, the 10 forbidden points that I had earned after so many days of struggle vanished instantly, and another panel opened up in front of my eyes.

Three options appeared in front of the screen: one was the extraction option, which could let me extract one random skill from the monster cores, which cost 100 perverted points.

The second option, let me refine the monster core into an essence orb, which won’t give me monster skills, but I could have their talents, and master the skill myself. The cost for this was 500 perverted points.

The last one was the fusion option, which let me fuse multiple monster cores and get one mutated monster essence with some unique talents. For this, the cost is way too high at 5000 perverted points.

Luckily, I got one free coupon to use on any of these options for free. Of course, it was clear what I would choose, the one with the highest cost.

I patted her back for some time before letting her sit on her own, ignoring her pain. I did feel wrong, but... I had to move on; this would be nothing compared to dying here.

After I was done with her, I quickly opened the bag and touched the monster cores, which instantly went into the system space, appearing in my fusion tab.

I sat at the side, looking at the option I got. To initiate fusion, I needed to choose the one monster to be at the core of fusion, with the others being subsidiary.

I was a little hesitant to choose the main monster core because I didn’t want that demonic monkey battle mode, because if it came with my body size growing, or monkey hair appeared on my face, it would be a huge disaster for my reputation. I won’t be able to farm aura with such a burly body.

Sigh~

Unfortunately, I don’t have the option here, I guess. So, I suppressed my high-profile self and decided to select the demonic monkey core as the main, and those wind, earth, and water demon cores as a subsidiary.

After I was done selecting, I clenched my aching heart and hit the fusion button, using a free coupon for the best. Luckily, this, as I was expecting to wait for a few hours for fusion to complete, didn’t happen, as I also got it done instantly, as a first-time perk.

The results were surprising, as the system didn’t show me what kind of talent I would get from this fusion monster essence. Moreover, there was even a remark of the upper tier, which made me wonder that even within the Rank and Grades had classification of low to upper tier.
