SSS Awakening: Conquering Worlds with My Cupid System

Just like what happened some days ago, Alicia and her team members were out on a scouting and hunting mission, and also to find any signs of Silas or Chloe. Although most of them had accepted the fact that they might never see those two again, they still had a bit of hope that they would find those two, especially Silas, because from what Mrs. Loraine and Mr. Fatars had told them, Silas was their key to leaving the rift.

It wasn’t exactly Alicia and her teams because there had been some changes to the teams. So far, only three out of the initial twenty-nine unawakened students were yet to awaken. This team of six consisted of only awakened students. They were Alicia with her Bestial Trait Manifestation ability, Victor with the Metal Body, Peter with Blood Manipulation, Christian with Extra Limbs, Alpha with Camouflage, and Emma with her Shadow Manipulation. They were a strong bunch, with only Victor having a C-Rank ability. The rest all had A-Rank abilities, except for Emma, with B-Rank.

Their mission had started well. They were all now powerful awakened, but who knew that their luck would run out at the last moment? They’d clashed with one of the native intelligent races in the rift, the goblins. These goblins were unlike what they’d learnt in the academy. These goblins were tall, almost as tall as humans, with dark skin, red eyes, and hair. They ranged from D-Rank to C-Rank, with a B-Rank leader, who stood at a height of 7 feet. If they were normal monsters, the fight would’ve been easy considering their current power, but these monsters were intelligent. They knew the art of war, of teamwork, unlike these kids, who were still learning the shittiness of reality.

That made the battle difficult to the extent that, for the past ten minutes, they’d been on defense. But that changed when they heard a loud bang and three goblin heads flew into the air. The battlefield turned silent as both sides turned to look at what had caused that. They discovered a pink-haired human with an infuriating kind of beauty and an annoying smile that just enhanced his natural handsomeness... and AWESOMENESS!

"Silas..." Alpha muttered in shock while the others stared at him as if they’d seen a ghost.

"I know you missed me. Fear not..." Silas was cut off as a chill spread through the surroundings, and three goblins turned to ice sculptures. Everyone turned to the source and found a white-haired beauty with cold blue eyes that chilled them more than the ice she manipulated. She looked new, but some instantly identified her, specifically Emma, since she was her roommate.

"Chloe..."

"Goblins... Yuck!" Their eyes widened when they heard a strange, gruffy language which none of them understood. Their eyes widened further when they saw a tall, orc lady in a black crop top, black baggy trousers, and boots with gauntlets on her hands.

"O... ORC!" Christian screamed like a pig and fell on his butt. First goblins, now the very dominators of the rift, the orcs.

"What is wrong with them, mate?" Gromda asked Silas, who was staring at the others in confusion. He had noticed something.

"Can you understand her?" He asked Alicia, who shook her head in shock. All of them were frozen in fear, even the goblins at the sight of Gromda. Orcs were that feared. If only they knew that Silas was fucking one of them...

Silas then turned to Chloe. "How do you understand what Gromda says?" 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

Chloe’s eyes widened in disbelief. This was something the three of them had totally missed. Silas had the system, which he told them about. It allowed him to do a lot of things, including understanding and speaking languages, but Chloe was different. She had no such thing, so how did she understand what Gromda said?

"This is not the time for this... We’ll talk about it later," Silas said as he sensed that the B-Rank goblin, whom the system identified as a Hobgoblin Chieftain, broke out of whatever was holding it. It seemed like the orcs had a natural fear-inducing aura that affected lesser beings or weak beings like the goblins and the team. Then how come the spiders didn’t feel that aura? So many questions.

ROOOOAAAR!

The goblin chieftain roared angrily and moved. It wielded a huge, curved sword with a jagged blade. It swung the sword, aiming for Victor’s head, but there was a flash of pink, and its sword clashed with a pair of crossed daggers.

"Chloe, Gromda! Take care of the others. Leave this guy to me," Silas gave out orders to his girls while pushing the goblin back. The others had become spectators at this point and could only watch as Silas and his two girls massacred the goblins, whom they were finding it difficult to land a hit on.

Silas’s battle with the goblin chieftain was... comedic, and everyone could tell that the pink-haired guy was playing with the goblin. Such disrespect in battle cannot be tolerated, but this is Silas we are talking about. There’s no such thing as honor and dignity to him.

His eyes glowed brightly, causing invisible threads to appear all around him. The strings attached themselves to the goblin, pinpointing all its weaknesses, flaws, and openings to him. Silas’s grin widened, causing a chill to pass through the spine of the creature. Before it could prepare for anything, Silas disappeared from its view. The last thing it saw was the sky, then the ground, then its headless body still standing with the sword raised.

Silas flicked his daggers of the green goblin blood and tucked them into sheaths on his waist. Despite everything, daggers appearing and disappearing weren’t normal or common. He didn’t want any more complications. People can be anything at any given time. Chloe and Gromda were also done with their part and waited for him to join them.

"Hola, amigos! Finally, we meet," Silas said enthusiastically to the six-member team, but they just looked at him in shock. Silas had always been strong, but this was too much. Was this really how S-Ranks fought? They didn’t see how he killed the creature.

And Chloe... they all noticed how she barely moved, but turned five goblins into frozen statues. This was a full goblin tribe, numbering up to thirty, and just three people had destroyed them in less than five minutes. This could only mean one thing... Chloe was also an S-Rank. As for Gromda...

"I-Is... she... your tamed beast?" Alpha blurted out. Silas turned his gaze to the feminine-looking boy, smiled, looked at Gromda, and nodded.

"Right on the dot, or however they say it. But, yes."

"That’s so cool!" Peter exclaimed, only to close his mouth in embarrassment. Gromda didn’t understand him, but from his action, she knew it was a compliment, so she did the ultimate thing she learnt from Silas: She grinned and gave a thumbs up.

"Where’s camp?" Chloe asked Emma.

"We are lost. It’s been a day," Alicia answered, causing their expressions to turn concerned.

"I see..."

They were lost. Was this pure accidental and coincidental or a fateful encounter?
