He wasn’t very much surprised by a system, since he’d read a lot of system books, and for some reason, he felt that it was too normal. In simple terms, he wasn’t surprised by a system.

Immediately after he selected "Yes", a new panel appeared, outlining simple tasks that weren’t so simple. But looking at them, Silas couldn’t help but smirk wider. He almost burst out laughing.

He leaned back slightly, staring at the holographic screen that was updating.

Damien was possibly already waiting somewhere outside, unaware that he was about to be thrust into the crosshairs of something far beyond normal school rivalry.

Silas bolted out of his room, his backpack strapped tight on his back, pink hair swaying and bouncing with his every step. The translucent interface of the system hovered in front of him, glowing faintly and outlining the best routes for him to reach class faster.

The school was already alive with the morning rush. Students swarmed the hallways, oblivious to the speedster weaving through them. The system was highlighting the most efficient paths, projecting bright pink lines on the floor that pulsed toward the classroom door. Silas’s mind worked in overdrive to react accordingly to the instructions he was receiving graphically. He knew that just a single misstep would have unwanted consequences. His steps were almost fluid and precise as he ran.

A group of younger students had spilled a tray of breakfast in the cafeteria corridor, a slick puddle of juice and oatmeal. The normally simple hallway had become a treacherous obstacle course. Just a single mistake and he would slip to his doom and embarrassment. The holographic screen flared a warning, mapping the hazard in glowing red and showing potential slip trajectories.

He launched himself over a small stack of chairs abandoned near the spill, twisting mid-air to avoid hitting the low-hanging banner. Just as he landed, a janitor pushing a mop cart rounded the corner. The cart wobbled dangerously, threatening to spill a bucket of water. A crowd of gawking students parted automatically, sensing the speed and control in his movements.

Silas’s legs burned, sweat clinging to his hair, but his eyes stayed on the pulsing lines projected by the system. Every stairwell, every corner, and every minor obstacle was already mapped in bright, efficient routes. He leapt over a low bench, slid under a hanging display, and used a railing to vault down a short flight of stairs, turning his body mid-spin to land without losing a beat.

A stack of delivery boxes near the classroom entrance threatened to block his path entirely. They teetered dangerously as someone brushed past, and a slight jolt could send them tumbling. Silas calculated the push required, using the momentum from his slide to nudge the corner box just enough to clear the path without toppling the others.
