Ruling The World With Mind Control

The village was right infront of them, little houses scattered all over, kids chasing chickens, and you could smell woodsmoke everywhere.

Lots of people were looking out windows, staring at Kyle.

The mayor’s house was a bit further out. Two stories high with a small garden next to it.

They walked up, then Garrick knocked the door.

Took a second but the door finally opened, revealing a man in his thirties, brown hair, kind of a nice face too.

"Oh, Garrick and Lena." The man smiled warmly. "Who is your friend?"

"Found him in the forest, Mayor Alden," Garrick replied. "He seems to have lost his memory."

"Lost his memory?" A warm voice floated from behind Alden.

Alden’s wife put a hot bowl of stew in front of him. The steam rose into the air.

"Oh, right. We haven’t introduced ourselves yet," Alden said. "My name is Alden, I’m the mayor of this village."

He gestured to his wife. "And this is my wife, Eleanor."

"I’m Kyle." Kyle smiled as he said.

"Nice to meet you, Kyle. If you don’t have a place to stay, you can stay with us," Alden said kindly. "We have an empty room. You can stay there until you get your memory back."

"Or longer, if need be," Eleanor added with a smile. "We’ve plenty of space."

Kyle nearly choked on relief. "Thank you. Both of you."

Eleanor smiled gently while Alden laughed and said, "Anyone would do the same in our place."

Kyle kept looking carefully through the long list of classes. There are 99 different classes. He knew that this choice would determine his future in this world.

Time passed, and an hour went by as he kept thinking.

`Finally, I’m done.` Kyle sighed in relief. `I narrowed down the choices to three classes... Necromancer, Strategist, Mind Controller.`

`I chose Necromancer because it’s the class I’ve seen most in novels, so I have a lot of information about it. I included Strategist because it suits my way of thinking and acting.`

`As for Mind Controller, it’s suitable for all situations... But it’s a double-edged sword. If I don’t use it well, I could die.`

Kyle continues thinking about these three options for a while. Meanwhile, his eyes slipped to a particular class a few times.
