He stared at the translucent screen floating before him for a few seconds, then nodded slowly.

`Just like I thought. The System really rewards every achievement I make.`

Kyle stared at it for a second. Then sighed.

"You know," he muttered, rubbing his temple, "you could’ve told me that before I had to guess."

This was always the System’s problem. It loved answering questions— as long as Kyle asked the exact right one first.

Kyle looked back at the screen, stared at the ranks for a moment, then an idea suddenly hit him.

`If skills have ranks... doesn’t that mean there are ranks to measure my level?`

He suddenly remembered when the system didn’t give him any points for killing the last wild boar in the forest. `Are there ranks for monsters and animals too?`

Kyle waited for the system screen to pop up and explain things as it usually did, but even after several minutes, nothing appeared.

`Damn system!` he cursed inwardly, closing the extra windows and leaving only his status screen. `It only answers when it feels like it wants to.`

He turned his attention to the 12 unused stat points and started distributing them calmly.

`I’ll put 4 points into Strength, 2 points into Agility and 3 points into Endurance... Finally, I’ll put the rest into Intelligence.`

After allocating all the points, he gave his new stats a satisfied glance.

It wasn’t painful. More like a deep, spreading warmth, flowing through all of his body. Sweat began to flow from his body and his breaths became hotter.

That warmth started to focus more on certain areas of his body, specifically his muscles, which had become slightly red. He felt his muscles weaken then stiffen immediately, as if he had just finished a tough workout.

After a few moments, that strange feeling in his body weakened until it gradually disappeared.

He jumped out of bed immediately, naked, and hurried to the mirror. His eyes widening as he saw his body.

His once ordinary body had suddenly become noticeably muscular. While not massive, his six-pack abs, chest, and arms were now clearly defined.

`Heh... look at that!` Kyle chuckled, striking a few poses in front of the mirror. `My body actually changes with my stats.`

He let out a laugh. "Alright, System. I take back what I said earlier."

After a few moments of examining his body, Kyle put on his clothes, which felt a bit tighter around the arms and chest, showing off his physique, then headed downstairs.
