Yun Zijin, Lu Yunque, and the others had booked rooms at the same hotel. The group took a taxi to the Jinsheng Hotel in G City.

The taxi stopped at the entrance of the Jinsheng Hotel, and the group met up out front.

"Miss Yun, do you have a plan for the site inspection? We need to finish it as soon as possible so we can get the design blueprints out sooner."

Lu Yunque was taking this collaboration very seriously.

"Let’s meet tomorrow at 9 a.m. on the first floor of the hotel. I’ll take you all for a look around."

Only she knew where the plot of land was located, so of course, Yun Zijin couldn’t just stand by.

"Alright, we’ll be counting on you then, Zijing."

Li Yuexing was now calling her "Zijing" more and more smoothly, while Lu Yunque and the other two were still stuck at the "Miss Yun" stage.

Yun Zijin glanced at Li Yuexing, feeling a bit helpless about him constantly calling her "Zijing." Still, she didn’t correct him; he probably wouldn’t listen even if she did.

"You all should go get settled in. If anything comes up, feel free to call me anytime."

"Let’s have dinner together tonight. It’s the first time in G City for all of us, so we don’t know what’s good to eat. We’ll need Miss Yun to be our guide."

Lu Yunque had taken the initiative to ask her to dinner.

Yun Zijin glanced at Lu Yunque. ’The esteemed president of the Lu Family, needing her to be a tour guide?’

Yun Zijin didn’t believe it for a second, but she didn’t refuse either. "Sure, I’ll take you to try some of our local specialties."

Yun Zijin certainly wasn’t going to pass up the chance to promote the place where she grew up to these people.

With the dinner plans set, they each got their key cards and were led to their respective rooms by a hotel employee.

Yun Zijin had booked a deluxe suite. She had originally wanted the presidential suite, but someone had beaten her to it.

’But now it seems the hotel probably saved the presidential suite for its own boss.’

But Yun Zijin wasn’t hung up on it. A deluxe suite was perfectly fine. After all, the Jinsheng Hotel, part of the Lu Family’s conglomerate, was famous for its environment and service.

She entered her room, unpacked everything from her suitcase, and put it all away. More than half an hour passed.

They had only agreed to have dinner together earlier but hadn’t set a time to meet. Yun Zijin sent a message in their five-person group chat, asking when Lu Yunque and the others wanted to go.

Li Yuexing’s phone seemed to be permanently attached to his hand; he replied almost instantly.

"The Supremely Handsome Li: I’m good with whenever. I’m still stuffed from the orphanage today, not hungry yet."

Aside from Yun Zijin, almost everyone had eaten until they were stuffed at the orphanage today.

"Mr. Fu: I’m good with whenever. I’ll go with Miss Yun’s arrangements."

"Sheng: Miss Yun can arrange it."

"L: You’re the host. We’ll follow your lead."

Yun Zijin looked at the messages in the five-person group chat, feeling a bit troubled. ’People with no preferences are the hardest to please.’

She hated it when people said, "I’m fine with anything," but then complained about everything once the plans were made.

’If you have an opinion, then don’t say ’whatever’ or ’anything’s fine’—make the arrangements yourself!’

"Qingqing Zijing: Fine! Since you’re leaving it to me, I won’t hold back. Don’t complain if you don’t like my arrangements."

Yun Zijin laid her cards on the table. If anyone complained later, she would just shove this conversation in their face.

Yun Zijin stopped looking at the group chat and instead took out her phone to search for nearby restaurants.

Yun Zijin didn’t actually know much about G City’s specialty dishes, but the most memorable thing for her was the traditional countryside banquets.

She had been lucky enough to attend one with the orphanage director. The food wasn’t necessarily gourmet, but it had a very authentic, down-to-earth feel.

It would be really hard to book a single table for one of those at this time.

However, she considered that Lu Yunque and his companions were all young masters born with silver spoons in their mouths. They would probably be uncomfortable at a rustic banquet in the countryside, so Yun Zijin decided to find a place in the city with a similar flavor.

She spent over half an hour looking for a restaurant. By the time she was done, it was already 4 p.m. Yun Zijin sent the restaurant’s location to the five-person group chat.

"Qingqing Zijing: Take a look. What do you think of this restaurant? If there are no objections, I’ll call and make a reservation now."

After Yun Zijin sent the message, the others replied quickly.

"L: Looks good."

"The Supremely Handsome Li: No problem!"

"Mr. Fu: I can’t wait."

"Sheng: What time do we leave?"

It seemed no one had any objections. Yun Zijin breathed a small sigh of relief.

Even though they had stuffed themselves at lunch, they would still be hungry by dinnertime. Yun Zijin set their departure for 6 p.m.

Guests staying in the deluxe suites or higher at the Jinsheng Hotel were entitled to a complimentary private car service during their stay.

When they went down to the first-floor lobby at 6 p.m., the cars were already waiting at the hotel entrance.

The cars were 7-seaters. With 16 people in their party, two cars weren’t enough, so the hotel had arranged for three.

Excluding the drivers, two of the cars would take six people each, and the last car would take four.

The restaurant Yun Zijin had booked wasn’t far from the Jinsheng Hotel, less than a ten-minute drive.

The restaurant was a standalone building. If not for the "Liang’s" sign hanging by the door, it wouldn’t have looked like a restaurant at all.

"Zijing, how did you find this place? I feel like this is a private kitchen."

The kind of private kitchen with a very capricious owner, at that. There were quite a few places like this in Dijing.

"It is a private kitchen. The head chef here is an old master, and it’s said one of his ancestors was an Imperial Chef."

As for which dynasty the Imperial Chef served, that was impossible to verify.

"A descendant of an Imperial Chef! Well, now I’m really looking forward to this."

Yun Zijin didn’t look at Li Yuexing. Instead, she raised her hand and knocked on the door in a distinct rhythm.

Not long after she finished knocking, someone came to open the door.

The person who opened the door was a young man in a traditional long gown. His voice was clear and gentle, and listening to it made one unconsciously relax.

"That’s right. I just called to make a reservation. There are 16 of us."

The bodyguards and assistants had to eat, too.

"Come in."

The man in the blue-green gown opened the door and stepped aside to let Yun Zijin’s party in.

Yun Zijin didn’t stand on ceremony and strode right into the restaurant, with Lu Yunque and the others following close behind.

"Have a seat. I’ll go hurry my father along."

The man in the blue-green gown pointed to two tables in the courtyard, telling them to sit first. His tone wasn’t particularly good, but to Yun Zijin, it sounded somewhat dismissive.

"Don’t we need to order?"

Seeing the man in the blue-green gown about to leave, Li Yuexing quickly asked.

"My father doesn’t receive many guests each day. What you get to eat depends entirely on his mood. We’ve never taken orders here."

After saying this, the man in the blue-green gown ambled leisurely toward the back kitchen.
