Amon woke up far later than usual the next day due to sleeping around 3 in the morning.

As soon as he woke up, he let out a slight yawn and stretched.

Today was a day he was particularly excited about!

It was finally time to clear the air and introduce the world to the new butcher!

He knew kayla still harbored suspicions which she didn’t speak of, that he was the butcher.

Even the armed forces was likely still keeping tabs on him.

Whenever he was returning, he usually felt eyes on him, however as long as they didnt trigger his danger sense, he didnt move to attack!

Thinking a bit, amon realised he had to get a skill for the new butcher.

’Aside from awakening abilities, there should be skills in the awakening world, is there a way to get them?’ amon thought for a bit and his mind drifted to something in his memory.

Amon stood up in a good moon and walked to ciara’s crib.

He picked her up and begin raining down kisses on her face.

Ciara’s face turned red instantly and she waved her hands about trying to resist her father’s onslaught of attack however it was all to no avail.

’What’s suddenly gotten into father?’ ciara was panicked internally.

Despite her meager strength she knew she was still no match for her father so she could only endure silently until amon finally stopped.

"My lovely cici, daddy is in a good mood so don’t blame him..."

Hearing his words ciara didnt know whether to laugh or cry.

Thankfully, Kayla entered and saved her from the embarassment.

"Someone seems happy?" kayla raised a brow and entered into the room them walked to amon.

Amon grinned and picked her up, twirling her around in a spinning wave.

"Stoppp... stopp,... my head..." kayla cried out, feeling dizzy.

Amon finally put her down and gave her a kiss on her forehead.

Kayla tried to regain her balance and glared at amon while pouting.

"Who made my lovely wife angry?" amon teased in a light hearted voice.

Kayla didnt reply and instead glared at amon even more fiercely.

"Alright, alright, I’m gonna make lunch." He suddenly said, causing kayla’s eyes to lit up instantly.

"Really? You can’t take back your words!"

"Of course." Amon smirled and picked her up again, bridal style this time.

He took her to the sitting room and settled her on the sofa.

"Just wait here, your highness, while I prepare your meal..." he said, gesturing humbly and making kayla to blush slightly.

She missed this side of amon alot. It was one of teh many charms that had made her fall in love with him...

With that amon walked to the kitchen with even footsteps and began working his magic...

The city was relatively peaceful, however undercurrents were surging.

Unknowingly, there had been an increase in the number of people tropping into the city without any one’s knowledge.

Moreover, these people exuded a great ammount of pressure.

Countless forces from various nations had arrived at the city, majority of them wanting to eliminate the butcher, while simulteanously, taking this as a chance to formulate a meeting and try to deepen their connections further.

The mission to kill the butcher was about to begin!

In the afternoon.

Kayla sat with a satisfied smile on her face, after enjoying the delicious meal amon served her.

Truly, his cooking had a unique charm she enjoyed greatly.

At this moment amon stood up, and said with some regret in his tone.

"I have to head to work."

"Really?" kayla squinted her eyes, her eyes skipping a slight beat.

Today was like they’d returned back to old times when amon was still the charming man she fell in love with.

Was that all abot to end?

Kayla wondered internally when amon’s voice entered her mind at this moment.

"I promise to return early." He said with a reasurring smile.

"You really promise?" kayla stared at amon curiously.

"Yeah. I promise." He said with a smile.

After that, amon quickly went to take a bath and came back moments later dressed in a light green shirt and a long black trouser.

His hair was neatly combed to the back and tied in a donut style that blended perfectly with his handsome appearance.

Amon wasn’t one to keep beards so it was already neatly shaved.

With that, he walked out of the house.

Kayla gave him a parting kiss and amon gave her a warm hug. After which he took a taxi and left.

He took a stop at a rundown alley where he was sure that there were no cameras and purchased a new mask for moon.

The new mask was simple without much presence to it unlike the cute-cat faced mask that contrasted sharply with the brutality the butcher displayed.

Amon felt that the simplicity would be particularly fitting for the new image of the butcher.

It was just the mask the new butcher needed since he possessed the narlock robes.

After taking a second taxi, amon finally arrived at the abandoned warehouse...

Amon finally stood before Moon, the new butcher.
