Overpowered Hero In Search Of Battle!

"I can’t wait for you to meet my family!" Lyanna said enthusiastically.

"...are you sure they’d like me? I mean, aren’t my horns weird and I’m all dirty." Sedah said quietly.

"Tch. So annoying! You’ll be fine...you can wash up at my house and your horns aren’t that weird-well-they are a bit weird."

"On second thought I think it’s a good idea for me to just stay here!" Sedah said anxiously.

Sedah kept ranting and voicing all his concerns. However, Lyanna didn’t listen one bit and just pulled him along until they got to the village. It was quite ordinary, nothing stood out. However, Sedah had found it magical.

"Where are we?" Sedah said in wonder. His eyes gleamed with joy.

"This—" Lyanna said, letting go of Sedah’s hand. "—Is my village and home! Welcome!" She said as she stretched out both her arms big and wide, Lyanna then pointed at her house, this is where you’ll be living from now on.

"My parents won’t mind taking you in...probably."

"Probably?! On second thought I’ll just go back t-"

"Enough!!! Quit worrying!" Lyanna exclaimed putting her hand on her hips, her face pouting up.

"Just trust me, ok? Good!" Lyanna said firmly.

Lyanna then grabbed Sedah’s hand, pulling him closer, and then she walked following the paved path to her house. Fences along each side. Up the three stone steps leading to her door and then, with a deep sigh, knocked on the door.

*Knock* * Knock* *Knock* 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

"Honey! Can you open the door it’s probably our cute daughter coming home!" Sedah heard the distant yell of a woman.

"Yes. Yes. Yes. I’m getting the door right now."

A few brief seconds later the door opens up. Sedah looked up at a big man. His muscles were big. Very big. Sedah was intimidated, but he also had a slight admiration for him; Sedah had thought her father simply looked cool! Lyanna immediately said to her father.

"He’s staying with us from now on."

"Haaaaah! No way! He’s small and dirty. Not to mention his skinny physique, but most importantly- "

"- JUST CUZ HE HAS WEIRD HORNS DOESN- "

"-he’s a boy...wait! Now that you mention it, he does have weird horns-PFT! AND THEIR SO TINY!! HAHAHA!" Tears swelled up in the father’s eyes as he pointed at Sedah, laughing. Sedah felt humiliated and embarrassed.

"...THEY’RE NOT THAT WEIRD!!!!" Lyanna shouted at her father in defence of Sedah, who was so caught off guard by the cheeriness of the atmosphere that he was speechless.

"Dear! What’s all that ruckus?" Lyanna’s mother walked over and her eyes met with Sedah.

"OMIGOSHHH!! How adorable!! What a cute lil boy!" Lyanna’s mother placed both of her hands on Sedah’s face and started rubbing it.

Sedah had thought to himself that she was beautiful like Lyanna...and bigger.

"Don’t think for a second I’m letting him in; he’s a boy after all; there’s no telling what he’ll do to Lyanna!" The father said in protest.

"Dear! He’s still a kid, and he needs to eat, wash and sleep!" She exclaimed as she slapped her husband on the back of the head. She put her hands by her hips and pouted like Lyanna.

"That’s right! I’ll hate you forever if you don’t let him in!" Lyanna added.

"Owwww! Agh, fine!" Bullied both physically and emotionally by his wife and daughter he had no choice but to let young Sedah in.

"Come on in you damm weird horns!"

Sedah took his first step into a place where he truly felt at home.

A meaty warm aroma filled the air. Lyanna’s nose twitched. "Something smells delicious!" Lyanna started drooling, her belly rumbling at the thought of what it could be. Then she remembered Sedah was here.

"A-A-Ahhh you didn’t hear nothin’ understand?!" Lyanna gave a sharp, threatening glare to Sedah.

Her father also gave a sharp glance at Sedah as if to say, "Don’t you dare do anything bad to my precious daughter!"

"Now, now! All of you settle down and come sit around the table to eat, I’ve made beef stew-ah, Sedah! First, you better wash up! Follow me I’ll help you clean!" The mother held Sedah’s hand, heading towards the bathroom, and then shut the door.

"HAAAAAH!!!" Both the daughter and father roared out simultaneously.

Fourty minutes passed by...

"Father? Sedah and mother have been in there for quite a long time.."

"Yes, my daughter...WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY DOING!!!"

Just then, the door opened, and steam came out. Sedah’s hair was still a bit wet, but his body was now cleaned and wrapped with a fluffy towel. He looked down, his face flushed with embarrassment.

"Ah! You still haven’t eaten yet Sedah, right? Come now! Ah-but first, here are your clothes." Lyanna’s mother had handed him fresh, clean clothes, speaking casually as if nothing happened. Lyanna’s father felt defeated...

"You damm brat!" He thought to himself.

Sedah could feel shivers running down his spine. He ran back into the bathroom, shutting the door behind him and wore his fresh clothes. He then swifly made his way to the table to eat.

After a few minutes of eating, Sedah’s belly was stuffed, and he was just about ready to go to sleep!

"Oi!! Damm weird horns! Wait jus’ a sec. Don’t think you’ll get off for free; I’m gonna make you break your back tomorrow working!" Lyanna’s father exclaimed while crossing his arms.

"Yes, sir!" Sedah said standing with his posture as straight as an arrow. Lyanna’s father had shown a little smirk on his face.

"Ahem!" Clearing his throat and reverting to his straight and serious face. "Good! At least you have some backbone to you! But you’re still a skinny brat. Now! Shoo, shoo! Go upstairs and get some rest. You have a long day ahead of you tomorrow."
