Meanwhile, on the other side of the boss hall, Nyx and the Chimera were locked in a fierce battle. Nyx possessed overwhelming destructive power, but his biggest weakness was speed.

Every heavy swing and cannon attack he unleashed could barely touch the Chimera, as the monster continuously evaded with frightening agility.

However, the Chimera also had its own problem. Nyx’s carapace was simply too durable. No matter how many times the Chimera attacked, its strikes failed to cause any meaningful damage.

The battle had now reached a deadlock where neither monster could truly hurt the other.

But after one point, the balance of the battle was broken.

"FROSTRIX!" Aria shouted desperately as she watched Frostrix struggling to escape from the dark mist spiraling around its body.

Oliver immediately tried to fly toward Frostrix to help it. However, the moment he approached the dark mist, he was violently repelled and unable to enter it.

"What are you doing?! Stop it right now!" Aria shouted furiously.

This was the first time Oliver had ever seen her lose her usual calm composure. It showed just how precious Frostrix truly was to her.

Suddenly, Frostrix’s body dissolved into countless dark particles before being absorbed directly into the Chimera.

BOOOOM!!!

The next second, a terrifying explosion of freezing wind erupted throughout the entire boss hall. Oliver immediately turned around and shielded Aria with his body while spreading Wings Aegis to protect both of them.

The freezing storm was so violent that debris and broken stones were blown throughout the hall. Meanwhile, Ingram covered his eyes tightly as he watched the horrifying scene unfold before him.

As soon as the storm finally calmed down, both Oliver and Aria slowly looked forward. Beyond the lingering mist of ice, the

Chimera’s appearance had completely changed.

Its original head had now been replaced by the furious-looking head of a giant bird. Massive wings made of ice extended from its back, while countless crystalline ice shards protruded from all across its body.

A freezing aura continuously radiated from the creature, causing the surrounding ground to freeze solid. The Chimera now looked even more terrifying and menacing than before.

"Hahahaha!! Finally! My creation is finally perfect! This is it! Thank you, Ice Princess, for bringing Frostrix here. I shall repay your kindness by granting you a slow death. Kill them!"

The Chimera immediately spread its massive icy wings. Each flap released violent gusts of freezing wind across the hall. As the creature slowly began floating upward, Nyx suddenly grabbed one of its legs tightly and prevented it from escaping.

"You... will not... go away!" Nyx roared.

The Chimera slowly turned its head toward Nyx. Then suddenly, it flew directly toward him and grabbed Nyx by the long neck before violently slamming him into the ground.

BOOOOM!!!

The impact shook the entire boss hall violently. Massive cracks rapidly spread across the floor.

"Nyx! Stand up!" Oliver shouted worriedly as Nyx remained pinned on the ground.

However, the Chimera was not finished yet. It immediately flew upward before smashing both of its feet down onto Nyx once more.

BOOOOM!!

Nyx’s gigantic body was driven deeper into the floor as enormous cracks spread in every direction. As a result, the cracks widened even further and the ground beneath them completely collapsed.

Oliver and Aria immediately lost their footing as the ground beneath them collapsed.

Both of them began falling downward. Oliver quickly grabbed Aria, who looked completely shaken and devoid of motivation. While floating in air, he desperately maneuvered through the raining debris and massive chunks of stone crashing around them.

At the same time, he watched Nyx and the Chimera plummeting deeper into the darkness below.

"NYX!!" Oliver shouted.

"Hahaha! You better come too, kid! Or your monster will also be mine!" Helton’s laughter echoed through the collapsing hall as his body transformed into cicadas and flew downward.

Oliver clenched his teeth. He quickly flown above the hole and landed on a relatively stable ledge while carrying Aria. He gently placed her down against a large stone. Meanwhile, Ingram immediately rushed over toward them.

"Are you okay? Talk to me," Oliver asked worriedly.

"My Frostrix...it’s gone." Aria muttered blankly.

"No. We still don’t know that yet. Please stay here. I’ll bring Frostrix back."

Then he turned toward Ingram.

"Ingram, look after her!"

Ingram immediately nodded.

Oliver then walked toward the edge of the massive hole before turned toward Aria and letting himself fall backward into the darkness below.

"Be careful, Oliver!" Aria suddenly shouted.

However, by then, Oliver was already far beneath them.

Several hundred meters beneath the ground, deep within the darkness below the dungeon, Nyx lay on his back. Fortunately, his incredibly durable carapace had cushioned most of the impact from the fall.

BAM!

As Nyx slowly tried to stand up, a fist suddenly emerged from the darkness and smashed directly into his face, causing him to stumble backward.

Nyx immediately looked around cautiously. Compared to Husk, Nyx’s night vision was far inferior. His sight within the darkness was extremely limited.

BAM!

Another heavy strike suddenly landed from behind him. Nyx began growing irritated. He immediately fired Rapid Barrage blindly toward all directions around him.

However, just as he did that, the Chimera suddenly descended from above, preparing to crash directly onto him. But a second before impact, a bright light suddenly appeared from the distance.

A powerful blast shot across the darkness and struck the Chimera directly in the torso. The Chimera was blasted to the side before crashing heavily onto the ground.

"Stand up, Chimera!" Helton shouted angrily as he materialized beside it.

"Only one attack and you already fell down? You’re a disgrace!"

The blast had come from Oliver, who had just landed atop Nyx’s massive shoulder.

"Nyx... are you okay?" Oliver asked.

"I am... fine. But... that monster... is strong." Nyx replied.

"Don’t worry. We were only warming up earlier." Oliver grinned confidently.

"Now... it’s time to get serious."

The battle was finally approaching its climax!!
