Victor stepped down from the stone platform, ignoring the gazes around him.
No one protested. Instead, everyone made way as he approached Alexandra, who was waiting while watching him.
"Are you dissatisfied? I just don’t want to pretend to be kind when that’s not who I am," Victor said to her.
"That’s none of my concern," she replied, looking away.
Victor smiled at her response.
He took her hand again, which suddenly seemed to soften.
Even if she didn’t like what he did, she clearly liked having her hand held by him.
Victor continued observing the hill, but aside from the beautiful scenery, there was nothing else of interest.
It might be a nice place for a date, but with so many people around, it felt a bit distracting.
"Is there something like that stone that can help improve understanding of Merit Laws or awaken Bloodline potential?" Victor asked.
"There’s nothing that effective. At most, it can help a little—one or two percent—and even that depends on luck or if your mastery is still low. In the end, those are things you must develop gradually. However, such places can still help over the long term," Alexandra replied.
"I see... Then let’s go somewhere that can help awaken Bloodline potential," Victor said.
His mastery of both Merit Laws was already quite high—and they were Heaven Class. He doubted they would improve easily, even with assistance.
"What is it?" Victor asked when he noticed Alexandra hesitating.
"It’s nothing..." she shook her head before stepping forward.
They descended the hill, then headed toward a river and followed it along the bank.
As far as Victor could tell, it was just a normal river with small fish swimming inside.
Some students were even fishing for leisure.
At the end of it, he found a building.
(Bloodline Pool!)
The words were written above the entrance, guarded by an old man.
The old man looked quite surprised when he saw Alexandra.
"Victor, the queue here is a bit different—and it’s an official rule of the academy," Alexandra said.
"How is it different?" Victor asked.
"Bloodline strength. Those with stronger bloodlines have more rights. They can decide when to train and for how long."
"Oh? And how is bloodline strength determined?"
Victor hadn’t expected such a rule.
"The old man can examine it."
"I see. So who currently has the strongest bloodline?"
"Alex."
"Not surprising at all..." Victor smiled.
He had the Heaven Dragon Soul.
With that, he had clearly inherited several dragon bloodlines from the Dragon Blood Sect. After all, they didn’t have just one—though only one was Heaven Class. The rest were Saint Class, not considered true dragon bloodlines, but likely mixed with other beasts.
Victor didn’t know whether his own dragon bloodline was stronger.
But his was the Heaven Guardian Dragon Bloodline.
He was confident it was superior.
He approached the old man while still holding Alexandra’s hand.
"Miss Spencer!" the old man greeted her, then merely nodded at Victor.
"Elder Clark, please check his bloodline," Alexandra said.
In this academy, Elders existed—people connected to important figures. They could stay, but weren’t qualified to be teachers.
Hearing her request, the old man nodded and took out a golden bowl with a small hole in the center.
"Please drip a little of your blood," he said.
Victor did as instructed.
A single drop of blood fell into the bowl, entering the small hole and disappearing.
Buzz!
The bowl suddenly emitted a brilliant golden light, shocking everyone nearby.
"So bright," someone muttered.
"It must be a Heaven Class bloodline."
"Even Heaven Class bloodlines aren’t usually this bright."
"Let’s see how far it reaches."
The golden light continued to expand.
Even in daylight, it outshone the sun.
People watched as it extended outward.
There was a spear embedded in the ground at a certain distance—and when the light surpassed it by more than two meters, everyone gasped.
"This bloodline surpasses Alex’s."
Even Alexandra looked in disbelief.
The Dragon Blood Sect’s dragon bloodline was unquestionably powerful—especially when combined with several Saint Class dragon bloodlines.
It was one of the key strengths that could lead someone to become a World Sovereign.
Yet, it was clearly inferior.
Elder Clark blinked several times to confirm what he saw.
And it was real.
He withdrew the light with his power before putting away the bowl.
"What bloodline is this?" he asked instinctively.
"I don’t have to answer, do I?" Victor replied with a smile. Elder Clark could only nod.
"Is someone inside? If so, tell them I want to enter," Victor continued.
"Yes, I will inform them." Elder Clark nodded again before going inside.
Alexandra lowered her head, seemingly deep in thought—until Victor suddenly stroked her pink hair.
The surrounding students were stunned.
This time, Alexandra couldn’t completely hide her emotions.
Her ears turned slightly red, and her eyes trembled for a moment.
Not long after, Elder Clark came back out—this time not alone.
A somewhat thin young man with pale skin followed behind him, looking shocked—then stunned when he saw Victor and Alexandra, especially the former stroking the latter’s hair. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
"You...?" he couldn’t help but speak, his breathing quickening.
Perhaps it was hard for him to accept that the one who stole his talent possessed a stronger bloodline—and had already grown so close to Alexandra.
Was she being forced, or was she willingly accepting this relationship?
"Elder, is there any issue with bringing someone inside?" Victor asked, completely ignoring Alex.
Elder Clark looked surprised.
"You may bring someone, but the Bloodline Pool is only for one person," he replied.
"Of course, only one person can use it—but what’s wrong with having company?" Victor said.
With that, he stepped inside, pulling Alexandra along.
She looked even more shocked at being dragged into a closed room.
Her nervousness was obvious, even though her face was hidden.
The moment they both entered—
Victor immediately shut the door behind them.
The students who witnessed it could only stand frozen, their mouths wide open.
Maybe it wasn’t a place meant for anything inappropriate—but there were always countless possibilities for what could happen.
