Her pride swelled as she folded both arms over her modest chest.

Luka watched her with an endless smile before shaking his head and pointing to the map, hoping to wake Iris from her dream.

"In the Village, there are at least two hundred goblins with a shaman heading the charge. They will have slaughtered all men by now, and multiple goblins are raping the women to increase their forces as we speak."

"Eh?" Iris froze, her eyes opening wide at Luka’s words.

"To kill them is to save them, a goblin burned is a woman saved. I know you adore your people, but the women remaining will be broken husks, losing their will to live, knowing they are sulleyed and no man would wish to share a body with a goblin."

His words were cold, dark and yet honest.

Both Brea and Iris shook violently, their anger no longer directed at him but at the filthy goblins which were ravaging their people.

"I promise to slaughter every last goblin in the entire highland, to build an outpost that stops them from entering and kill any goblin on sight. All you have to do is become my ally, whether through an oath, marriage, or submission."

"LUKA!"

Galatea’s shout echoed through the room, while the demure Iris glanced up at him with wet, tearful eyes, barely able to swallow the current state of her people.

Luka didn’t speak without thinking; he offered everything to Iris.
