The moment he added points to his strength and endurance, a sharp pang of discomfort struck his muscles, bones and organs like a sudden lightning bolt. Luka stood silently, adjusting himself as he added five points to both.

It felt as if someone stuck a knife inside his biceps, yanked it around, as if to make them larger and filled it with searing putty. The same pain followed for his organs, the hot throbbing continued for five minutes until coming to an end.

"Phew!"

Luka’s bones cracked like dried plaster the moment he stretched his limbs.

But with arms spread, he no longer felt Oblivion’s weight pulling him down, though still a little difficult to wield the way he liked. Increasing his strength to twelve allowed him to follow the movements in his memories much better.

"Let’s cut out the goblin’s magic crystal..."

The screams of goblins echoed through the air as he pulled a short knife from the leather saddle affixed to Furia.

"Great work, Furia."

He stroked her hips with a smile.

She snorted and raised her hooves, slamming the ground in a huff.

The battle wasn’t particularly difficult, thanks to the efforts of the hunters and knights to reduce casualties to the limit. Sadly, three men died due to the traps and their horses panicking at the most important moment.

Luka sat to the side, drinking from his flask.

He couldn’t deny that the power oblivion granted through slaughter was too strong, and it piqued his curiosity about other methods of growth. That’s when he spotted Galatea wiping the sweat off her brow with a damp cloth after removing her helmet.

Suddenly, a bright, snappy voice came from behind him, causing the young lord to jump out of his skin while reaching for his blade.

Iris lunged forward the instant he grabbed his sword, her left leg pressing down on his thigh; the right shot up, hitting his chin and knocking him back over the wooden log.

Shocked by the attack, Luka reacted instantly after the blow snapped him out of the lustful trance, his hands gripped Iris by the waist, and flung her over his head, with a belly to bell suplex as he fell back.

"Ngh... get off me!" Iris grunted, her eyes half closed, as she winced in pain. "Stop pressing that damn sword against my stomach!"

Luka rode atop her body, his chin red from the knee.

The moment he recovered, he found the pretty-faced bandit leader pressed under his body, holding her down with one hand against the grass. His other hand gripped her muscular thigh, stopping her from kneeing him in the abdomen.

"Why did you suddenly attack me?!"

"W-What, you grabbed for your damned sword, bastard! I told you to stop pushing your sword against my stomach!"

Her complaint confused him as he frowned.

"What sword? You tossed my blade away when you kneed my face!"

Suddenly, her eyes widened, and she glanced down. A moment passed before her mouth opened slowly, "Move your damn lower body!" Then she turned away, snorting angrily with her cheeks dyed pink.

It wasn’t until she mentioned it that Luka noticed the comfortable feeling each time she shifted under him, the pleasure like a jolt of lightning assaulting his brain.

He followed her gaze, seeing something stretch his tight black pants to the limit in a single direction, and memories of the thing he lacked as an angel resurfaced.

"My bad, I forgot."

Luka’s pulled himself off as the comfortable heat left his body.

"Hah?! Forgot what? That kind of thing, how..." Iris didn’t finish speaking; she just closed her eyes and lay still, breathing heavier than usual.

He then shrugged his shoulders, a little sick of her attitude towards him.

So he decided to remind her.

"Hey, don’t forget our promise. If we retake Amol, it won’t matter what I do."

"Eh?"

Iris sat up, her messy orange hair dangling over one shoulder, revealing her pale neck dripping with sweat and covered in grass.

"What, don’t think we can do it?"

"Hmph, I won’t forget."

Despite her attitude, Luka couldn’t help but enjoy this different side of his former knight. The emotionless Iris lacked the spunky energy this version of her held. He offered a hand while cleaning the dirt from his hands and thighs.

"Come on, we don’t have time to waste rolling in the dirt together. We need to repair this place in case the goblins attack before we’re ready."

"I get it, I get it~ okay?"

’Fifty goblins at the outpost, it seems that Amol’s overrun by a huge force, there’s likely a Goblin Lord or hobgoblin leading them...’

Iris, who lived as a bandit, must have suffered greatly in the previous timeline.

He doubted whether the sick version of Luka could have offered them any help or support when retaking Amol. Though he didn’t want to know what happened, his heart could piece together the tragic fate of her little bandit militia.

"I promised you, Iris. I never renege on my promises."

"Renge? What does that mean..."

She cocked her head to the side while taking his hand, letting him help her to her feet.

"It means I’ll never abandon or forsake my promise to help you and your people, since our agreement makes them my people too." He paused, thinking about the horrible fate once again, unable to stop these strange desires and emotions that didn’t exist when he was an Archangel. "But even if I become your lord, I will never let you or the ones you care for die worthless deaths."

The small hand holding his gripped tighter, as her cheeks flushed red.

Iris quickly pulled away and grabbed Oblivion with both hands, struggling to lift it.

Luka heard a strange pounding noise, almost as if it resounded inside his head.

Oblivion trembled as a neon screen flickered to life.

The sudden request confused Luka; he’d long understood the concept of absorbing desires to boost his innate power.

Sin was his source of power, like mana to a mage, divine power to a priest or paladin and aura to a warrior.

The boost of this attribute increased his overall combat power.

To summon Oblivion, it took five sin points, and each strike would absorb one point after that, meaning his Sin Points (SP) were vital to extended battles, as he could strike twenty times after summoning Oblivion without a short or long rest.

Although he had minor admin powers over the Destiny system, the entire sin system wasn’t under the same controls.

Luka shook his head at the thought of checking her panel, choosing not to activate her panel just yet. He could only activate the Sub-Panel under his control for a few people, helping them avoid detection from the main system.

If a human became corrupted enough to fall, the Destiny System would report it to all humans, including its location. The system would add a huge reward and make them a target to avoid creating more Fallen beings.

"Phew..."

He ignored Brea’s hostile atmosphere, knowing the reason and approached with a smile on his face. Even if she treated him like this, he could easily change her mind over time, or, in another way, corrupting Iris would make her obey.

But that was for the future.
