Her teeth clamped down hard on her lip, drawing a thin line of dark blood as she pushed again with every single ounce of strength she had left in her body.

Another sudden burst of bright, pearlescent energy filled the small room, and the second cub arrived. Long Zhan’s hands shook violently as he caught it, his breath coming in shallow hitches.

It was another white leopard cub, completely identical to the first one, its tiny spotted paws twitching weakly against his skin as it let out a soft, high-pitched mewl for its mother.

Two white leopard cubs. It was the undeniable, absolute proof that Wang, the missing Leopard King, was the sole father of her children.

Long Zhan’s heart swelled with a complex, heavy mix of grief, relief, and a fierce, burning protectiveness for his missing couple brother’s bloodline.

The exact moment the third baby was born, a massive, deafening crack of thunder shook the entire planet outside, the sound so impossibly loud it felt as though the literal foundations of the earth were being ripped apart.

Long Zhan looked down at his hands, and his jaw dropped so low it nearly touched the bedboards. His violet eyes filled with an absolute, world-shattering shock that made his entire mind go completely blank.

It wasn’t a leopard cub. It wasn’t any land beast he had ever seen or heard of in his thousands of years of existence.

Resting in his large palms was a tiny, incredibly beautiful little mermaid cub. The upper half of its tiny body was soft, smooth human skin, but from the waist down, it possessed a long, shimmering tail covered in delicate, iridescent blue scales that glinted like the deepest parts of the ocean.

Long Zhan’s hands shook so violently he nearly dropped all three babies onto the furs. He couldn’t breathe. His chest felt tight, constricted by a sudden, freezing terror.

"This... this is impossible," he whispered, his voice trembling so hard it was barely a breath. "The Mermaid tribe... the pure bloodlines of the Sea Sovereigns... they have been completely extinct for eons! Even in the middle realm, their ancient tracks were wiped out before my ancestors were even born! How... how can Wang’s child be a mermaid? Wang was a leopard! This makes no sense!"

Hearing the terrifying commotion and the planet-shaking thunder from outside, Qin Mo could no longer contain his anxiety on the porch.

He threw the heavy wooden door open and burst back into the bedroom, his silver eyes flashing wildly as he scanned the room for danger. "What happened? What is that sound? Did the old man return?!"

But the moment Qin Mo stepped closer to the mattress, the words died instantly in his throat.

Both sovereigns, along with a heavily breathing, utterly exhausted Lin Wan, watched in absolute, stunned silence as the scene before them took a dynamic turn into pure cosmic madness.

The first white leopard cub suddenly let out a soft, gurgling whine. Right before their very eyes, its soft white fur began to recede into its skin. Its tiny hind legs fused together in a blur of blue light, and within a single second, it transformed into a tiny, blue-scaled mermaid cub, its little tail flopping softly against the furs.

Then, the original mermaid cub blinked its deep, ocean-blue eyes. With another soft, crackling pop of energy, its iridescent blue tail split apart, growing soft white fur and tiny spotted paws as it transformed perfectly into a little white leopard cub.

The three babies were completely alternating forms right in front of them—shifting from sleek, spotted land leopards to ancient, mythical deep-sea mermaids every few seconds.

Their tiny bodies were overflowing with a terrifyingly pure, dual-cosmic bloodline that defied every single known law of the primitive beastworld. It was an impossible biological anomaly.

"They... they are hybrids of an extinct line," Qin Mo whispered, his smooth, elegant voice completely stripped of its usual arrogance.

He fell to his knees beside the bed, his hand hovering over the shifting cubs, afraid to touch them. "Wang... what kind of monster bloodline was that idiot hiding from us all these years? He was never just a regular leopard."

But the cosmic shock didn’t stop there.

As the three distinct lines of energy continued to swirl and clash inside the small bedroom, the cubs let out a coordinated, sharp cry.

The fur and the blue scales vanished simultaneously in a flash of blinding white light. Within a heartbeat, the babies shifted once more—not into leopards, and not into mermaids.

Long Zhan’s violet eyes looked as if they were about to pop right out of his skull. He let out a breathless, choked gasp, his hand clutching his chest as his draconic pride completely shattered.

"Human forms... as newborns? No... this is wrong! This goes against the natural order!" Long Zhan bellowed, his voice laced with absolute panic. "Male cubs are born strictly in their beast forms! Only females are born with human bodies! A male beast cannot take human form until they reach their teenage years, at least eleven years old, after they have refined their inner cores! How can they do this at birth? What kind of gods are they?!"

Lin Wan lay back against the furs, her body completely spent, her skin drenched in sweat. She didn’t have the strength to answer them, but her sharp, mind was watching the three little human babies wiggle on the blankets.

They were all males.

Three little boys, possessing a bloodline so ancient, so heavily packed with raw, divine power that the primitive rules of this lower beastworld couldn’t even bind their shapes or control their growth.

They were completely breaking the system of the world just by breathing.

Suddenly, the dim afternoon light outside the window completely vanished.

A darkness heavier than the deepest night slammed down over the entire southern territory in a flash.

High above the cottage, the sky turned a violent, bruised purple as a massive, unprecedented thunderstorm rolled in from the very edges of the horizon, swallowing the clouds. It wasn’t a normal rainstorm.

The clouds were thick with heavy, flashing arcs of crimson and gold lightning, swirling in a giant, roaring vortex directly above the roof of their small house.

The wind howled with the rage of a dying god, the sound tearing through the forest outside as ancient trees were snapped like small twigs.

A single, massive boom of thunder echoed across the world, vibrating so deeply within the crust of the planet that it felt as if the entire earth was about to be split completely apart the very moment one of those lightning bolts touched the ground.

Far across the continent, in the grand Beast City, the military general and the elders, and beastmen dropped to their knees in the mud. In the deep swamps, the ancient serpents hid beneath the sludge, trembling.

Up on the mountain Peaks, the powerful Flying beastmen, elders fell to the stone floors, their bodies shaking in pure, unadulterated panic.

Every single living creature in the beastworld could feel the heavy, suffocating pressure descending from the heavens. The planet itself was groaning under the weight of the birth.

Inside the small, dark bedroom, Lin Wan, Long Zhan, and Qin Mo looked up at the groaning wooden ceiling, their faces pale under the flashing crimson light of the storm outside.

They didn’t need anybody to tell them. They didn’t need Weiwei’s to explain the crisis, although she wasn’t here.

They knew, with absolute, certainty, that this world-shattering storm was happening entirely because of the three tiny, shifting human babies resting quietly on the furs next their mother.
