- Chapter 1: Awakening of the Seed
’Yes.’
Priam activated his new innate technique without hesitation.
Fuck the consequences.
If he could save his mother, he would deal with whatever came afterward.
"!"
Boey raised his gaze, stunned.
At that second, Priam’s eyes shone with an intense golden light. It was as if they were two brilliant suns.
A mystical, colorless aura appeared around him, giving the impression that space itself was distorting around him.
[Anima: Transcendental (Seal opened)]
[Wheel of Destiny: Transcendental (Seal opened)]
Priam suddenly felt something very strange. It was as if a divinity had opened its eyes after a very long time, and was now watching that entire scene with curiosity.
[Your manifestation has fully awakened!]
[Usage time without completely burning through the Celestial power: 333 seconds]
The strange sensation was coming from the Nexus Seed.
For the first time, Priam had confirmation that this anomaly truly had a will of its own.
The entire System was controlled by this anomalous thing. At the same time...
He felt such a deep connection to it... that it seemed like an extension of himself.
It was like having two distinct personalities, now finally staring at each other for the first time.
’Celestial power... so this is what I had to accumulate it for before.’
He understood a little of how everything worked.
By activating this power, he basically removed all restrictions from the Nexus Seed, allowing it to freely use his Celestial power.
How would he use this?
The moment of contemplation was brief.
He closed his eyes for a short second, and when he opened them again, his perception of the world had been transmuted.
He stared at his mother.
"Curse... yes, that’s it."
He wished to know. Just that.
Afterward, it was as if he were back on Earth and had used an AI to ask for information.
In a single second, he knew perfectly what could be done using what he had on hand.
At that moment, he felt something empty inside his Nexus Seed.
[Celestial Power: 50% remaining]
[Usage time without burning through the Celestial power again: 165 seconds]
The golden light still pulsed in his pupils. Above his head, a golden halo now manifested, emitting a glow that filled the room.
His father, witnessing the sudden change and the pressure emanating from his son, was paralyzed by the sight.
Priam snorted. Doing that "research" had cost a lot. But what he had left was already enough.
Priam focused 100% on his mother’s body.
With his complete Transcendental Anima, just by focusing a little, he could see and feel even the slightest trace of any type of energy.
With that at his disposal, he could use the Nexus Seed efficiently, drawing it into himself.
What had before been a weakened body now revealed its true condition to his eyes and senses: throughout Seien’s entire body, small black dots swarmed like parasites.
’This... is the curse...’
His mother had a curse that came directly from the laws of the world, but... why was this so different from the curse of the Sovereigns that he had experienced?
Priam felt that the power of the Sovereigns was much greater than this thing that came from the laws of the world. No, he was certain. Those six were on a much, much higher level.
He took a deep breath and stretched out his hand, gently touching his mother’s forehead.
Now that he knew exactly where to look, his senses could clearly analyze and manipulate it.
’The entire Bloodline inside her is contaminated by this curse.’
He tested removing a little of it directly. Focusing on the Nexus Seed, Priam tried to pull a single contaminated Bloodline rune from his mother’s body.
There was no resistance. The small, vibrant mark moved into his hand, entered him, and was stored away.
...
[Remaining time: 100 seconds]
After examining it again for a few seconds, Priam nodded coldly.
’It really is impossible to simply purify the curse.’
Purifying each rune individually and returning it was unfeasible. He did not have that kind of time.
The only way out was to remove everything from her body and destroy her entire Bloodline, eliminating the problem all at once.
But...
In a healthy person, even if all their Bloodline runes were removed, the body would restore those runes in days or months. There were even sacrificial Magic Arts that burned one’s Bloodline in exchange for power.
But after burning everything they had, the person would enter a state of extreme weakness. Usually, they would be bedridden for a very long time.
Unfortunately, Seien was not a healthy person right now.
’If I remove all her runes now... in this state of extreme weakness... she won’t survive.’
It was a fatal medical paradox: the "medicine" was too aggressive for a terminal patient. Extracting the runes would eliminate the curse, but the shock of losing her Bloodline would extinguish the last flame of life she had left.
Priam’s mind was so clear and calm that nothing seemed impossible. That was because he already knew he had something in his hands that could solve everything.
If his mother were from any other race, it would be impossible for him to heal her right now.
Fortunately, the Cursed Forest Elves had a subtle affinity with nature energy. Even if it was subtle, few races in the world had that.
The power of nature was the purest and most restorative thing that existed. If his mother had that at a high level, and in abundance inside her body, she would easily survive after he removed the curse.
The solution was simple.
He nodded, and from inside his spatial ring, a small sphere of silver light appeared.
It was the completely intact and perfect Pristine Core he had received as a reward for "saving" Luvinah.
Pristine Cores were almost impossible to find whole. Most were sold already badly damaged, serving only as ingredients for specific pills or inscriptions.
But Priam possessed something that few in history had ever even seen.
The moment the object appeared, the atmosphere in the room changed. An aura of absolute purity flooded the environment, making his father, who was watching in silence, stagger backward, almost losing his balance.
"This... this is impossible... this Pristine Core..." the man stammered, his face shocked.
"Indeed. It is one hundred percent intact," he murmured back without emotion.
That priceless treasure would now serve a good purpose.
Priam focused completely, then moved his hand.
He levitated the silver core toward her chest. Taking a deep breath, he wrapped the sphere with his own natural power and guided it, with surgical precision, into Seien’s soul.
The moment the core entered his mother, the fit was absolute.
It was as if a lost puzzle piece had finally found its place. Priam watched, fascinated, as the core fixed itself there permanently.
The core vibrated, and it was like a seed producing roots, spreading through her entire body and soul.
In seconds, the power of nature became intrinsic to Seien’s existence. It was as if she were now a half Pristine Wild-Spirit.
This process would have been impossible with a damaged core, or in a person from an ordinary race. Everything was made easier by her Bloodline, which had an affinity with the power of nature and fused perfectly with the core.
Slowly, the Pristine Core began to pulse, autonomously generating a little nature energy to nourish the nearly collapsed body.
The key point was that all the energies inside Seien were intact. She had all her Ether inside her meridians, as well as her life energies. So this core of hers could use them to generate nature energy and nourish the body.
"Perfect..." Priam murmured for a brief second.
With the core acting as an anchor of life, he finally had the safety margin he needed.
He no longer had to worry about whether her body could withstand the shock. With the support of energy pills or a constant supply of Ether, her core would generate enough power of nature to keep the "rope" of life stretched and firm.
’Should I change my title from Mage to healer later? Looks like I have potential.’ He thought, with a faint smile on his face.
His time was short.
He stretched out both hands again, touching his mother’s temples. The glow of the halo above his head intensified until it became blinding.
His Domain was activated at full power.
