- Chapter 1: Awakening of the Seed
Priam remembered the words of that seller on planet Darknorth when he bought some pills at the very beginning. At the time, the man had mentioned five types of extremely expensive pills... which Priam knew nothing about.
Four were the Yin and Yang Nature pills — the same ones he had given to the Pristine Wild-Spirits.
But the fifth...
It was not sold to ordinary people.
Only approved great merchant clans could buy it. The materials were not that rare... but each pill had a unique recipe.
Priam took a deep breath and stared fixedly at the demonic seller.
He needed to be sure, so he threw out some bait.
"I came here because I heard about your specialty," he said, in a controlled tone. "You’re good at deciphering... the unique material of those pills, correct?"
The seller smiled slightly, clearly pleased.
"Indeed. There are few like me. On this planet, I’m the only one with some skill in this." He shrugged. "But don’t expect miracles. My success rate when trying to discover the composition of a soul search pill... is around 30%."
Soul search pill.
The seller from before had not even wanted to tell him the name. Now he had found out. Just hearing that name made Priam’s heart give a violent jump.
He forced his expression to remain neutral.
"So... that client who left irritated before came because of this?"
"Yes." The seller sighed. "Like I said, I can’t sell you anything directly related to this. But he wanted me to analyze a sample."
He grimaced.
"This time, I couldn’t get a good analysis. So, he became furious."
Priam remained silent.
The seller continued, not noticing anything.
"From what I heard, someone already managed to get the correct formula before them. The Alu-fiend clan sold it for an extremely high price." He laughed with contempt.
"I heard the rumors that there was a hidden auction recently. Something very valuable was sold... but it slipped from their hands. When they tried to buy the recipe, it was already too late."
Priam’s fingers contracted.
"Those idiots thought they had won," the seller continued. "In the end, they lost their only chance to buy the correct tracking recipe. Their only option was to ask me for this... but I don’t perform miracles."
Tracking.
Alu-fiend clan.
The pieces began to fit together.
Slowly.
Heavily.
Priam’s mouth opened... and closed.
The seller finally noticed the change.
"Hey... are you alri—"
Before he could finish, Priam raised his gaze.
His eyes pulsed with a suffocating killing intent.
"Answer one thing."
His voice came out low... but sharp.
He pushed the box back toward the seller.
"This soul search pill... is used by merchant clans on their goods?"
The seller blinked, surprised by the sudden change.
"Yes. That’s no secret among the great clans." He crossed his arms. "They use this type of pill on valuable goods to prevent theft."
Priam did not blink.
The seller continued, now more serious.
"The base of everything is an herb called *soul-killing flower*. When mixed with other ingredients, it creates a completely imperceptible medicinal powder — no smell, no aura, impossible to detect normally. Removing it before three days is almost impossible without extreme methods."
Priam’s heart began to beat harder.
"But..." the seller raised a finger, "if you have the exact pill recipe, and use certain Beasts specialized in tracking this flower... you can locate the stolen goods."
He made a short pause.
"Even if they are on another planet."
Silence.
The world seemed to stop.
"...And... if they know exactly which planet it’s on?" Priam asked, his voice failing slightly.
The seller narrowed his eyes.
"Then it becomes much easier." He answered without hesitation. "At first, the tracking only points to a large area. But after finding the approximate location... in one or two days, three at most, you can find the exact point. Especially if the target is staying still."
Staying still target.
Hiding place.
Forest.
Luvinah.
Priam’s expression became completely empty.
As if his soul had been ripped out of his body.
He had heard about this before.
He could have investigated it. But he didn’t.
How could he have guessed?
His plans suddenly changed. He only wanted to buy a Pristine Core and return home. He could not have guessed what was really being auctioned, and then predicted that he would be hunted mercilessly because of it.
When everything happened, he had other concerns. Besides, he was still learning about this Magic world. He could not have imagined that something like this existed.
*Wooooosh!*
A gust of wind exploded inside the shop.
The seller was thrown backward, almost falling. Bottles trembled, shelves creaked.
When he managed to steady himself, his eyes widened.
Priam was no longer there.
He shot forward at high speed, pushed by the winds, as if he had gone insane.
He did not care about hiding his presence, or whether the demons of that clan would notice his traces. Burning great amounts of Ether, he left the city in an instant and advanced straight toward the horizon.
When the demons finally reacted... he had already disappeared.
A suffocating despair crushed Priam’s chest.
He was too weak to notice something of that kind. Unique materials like that... were far beyond his perception ability.
’This can’t be real...’
’How can something like this exist...?’
’No... this can’t...’
His mind fell into chaos as he advanced at high speed.
His teeth clenched so hard they almost cracked.
Without slowing down for even a single instant, he ran toward the southeast, straight to the Infernal Forest.
This time, it took less than half an hour.
When he entered the forest, he did not reduce his speed.
He tore through the jungle like a furious tornado.
Trees, flowers, and grass were thrown into the air, destroyed by the brutal passage of his body.
Without hesitation.
Without thinking.
Just going.
He had already memorized the path.
And then... he arrived.
Before him stood the row of ancient trees that hid the entrance.
Priam stopped immediately.
And froze.
His pupils contracted violently.
The illusory power... had disappeared.
No... not just disappeared.
It had been destroyed.
The dark-red vines were completely devastated, as if a brutal force had torn everything apart without any care.
Fragments scattered across the ground.
Silence.
Priam’s heart beat out of rhythm.
A deep cold began to spread through his body.
He stood still.
Without moving.
Without breathing.
After several seconds...
He took a step forward.
The sound of the vines breaking under his feet echoed abnormally loudly.
Each step seemed to crush something inside him.
One after another.
He crossed the entrance.
And then—
His body trembled violently.
All color drained from his face.
The world before him...
had been destroyed.
What had once been a refuge full of life, flowers, and purity...
...was now a field of ruins.
Fallen trees. Destroyed houses. The ground marked by violent battles.
The smell of blood.
Dried blood everywhere.
The silence... was absolute.
"N-no..."
His voice came out weak. Broken.
Scattered across the ground...
bodies.
One.
Two.
Dozens.
Motionless.
All dead.
Priam’s eyes began to tremble.
Then he saw it.
Right in front of him was a body lying on the ground.
Eyes still open. Frozen in fury... and despair.
Rozeon.
"Ah..."
The air failed in his lungs.
"AHH..."
His lips trembled uncontrollably.
His pupils dilated.
His body did not respond.
It was as if his feet had been nailed to the ground.
His vision began to distort.
The world slowly spun around him.
He brought his hands to his head.
His fingers trembled like those of an old man on the verge of death.
Dead.
All of them...
are dead...
Because of me...
I brought this to them...
I killed all of them...
Because of me... all of this happened...
