Senju slowly stepped back.

Only after she let go did the awkwardness reach her face. The moment had happened suddenly, and now she did not know where to look.

Adam was still only around twenty years old. And she had suddenly hugged him in his hostel room.

Senju cleared her throat and returned to the chair near the table.

"Sorry," she said in a low voice.

Adam was also stunned for a few seconds.

That sudden hug had caught him off guard in a way he had not prepared for.

For a moment, he only looked at her.

Then he forced himself to calm down.

He took a deep breath and sat a little straighter on the bed.

"Senju," Adam said, "actually, I need your help."

Senju looked at him at once.

The awkwardness on her face reduced a little. The moment she heard that he needed help, her expression became focused again.

"Help?" she asked.

Adam nodded.

Senju leaned forward slightly. "Of course, tell me what you need."

Adam did not answer at once.

The foreign trip was the real problem. Adam could not go there as Adam.

He looked at Senju and said, "I need a fake identity."

Senju blinked once. "For whom?"

"For me," Adam said, and Senju stared at him.

Adam explained, "I have to go on a foreign trip. But I cannot go as Adam."

Senju’s surprise did not fully disappear, but she understood the reason quickly.

She slowly nodded.

"Yes," she said. "You are right. You should not go as Adam."

Adam stayed quiet.

Senju took out her phone and unlocked it.

"Tell me the description," she said. "What kind of fake identity should I make?"

Adam was about to answer.

Then he stopped.

He looked toward the small bathroom attached to the room.

Senju noticed his eyes moving.

"What?" she asked.

Adam stood up.

"Instead of telling you," he said, "I will show you."

Senju’s eyes became sharper.

Adam did not explain more. He walked toward the bathroom and stepped inside.

"Wait here," he said.

Then he closed the bathroom door.

Senju remained in the chair.

For a few seconds, she simply stared at the closed door. She did not know what Adam was going to show her. Maybe he had a disguise or some makeup hidden inside the bathroom.

After what she had learned tonight, even simple questions felt strange.

Inside the bathroom, Adam stood in front of the mirror.

He looked at his own face for a moment.

Then he thought of Walter.

Walter was the face Darien already knew.

Adam lifted his hand and used Copy and Paste on himself.

The change moved quickly.

His face shifted. His hair changed. His body adjusted just enough that the person in the mirror no longer looked like the Adam who had entered the bathroom.

Walter looked back from the glass.

Then he opened the bathroom door and walked out.

The moment she saw him, she froze.

Her phone was already in her hand, but her fingers stopped moving.

Adam stood in front of her without saying anything.

For a few seconds, Senju only looked at his face. Then her gaze moved over him once more, as if she needed to confirm that this person was really the same boy who had just entered the bathroom.

She knew it was Adam. She had seen him go inside. But the person standing in front of her did not look like Adam anymore. Senju slowly stood up from the chair.

Her shock was clear, but she did not scream.

Instead, she looked at him from head to toe and said, "If you ever try, you will become a very good makeup artist."

Adam looked at her. For a second, he did not know what to say. Then a small smile came to his face. Senju also smiled a little, though her eyes still showed shock.

She lifted her phone. "Stand still," she said.

Adam did as she said.

Senju took his photo. Then she checked the picture once and looked back at him.

"When do you need it?"

"As soon as possible," Adam said.

Senju did not look surprised at all.

She almost looked like she had expected that answer.

"Of course," she said. "With you, it is always as soon as possible."

Adam gave a helpless smile.

"This one really is," he said.

Senju put the phone away.

"Fine," she said. "I will see what I can do. I will try to get it done as fast as possible."

Adam nodded. "Thank you."

Senju walked toward the door. Adam followed her and opened it. She stepped out without saying anything more. Adam closed the door after her. The room became quiet again.

For a while, Adam stood near the door without moving. Then he walked back to the bed and sat down. The silence felt different now.

Before Senju came, the silence in the room had felt heavy. Adam had been thinking about one problem after another, and every answer had created another question.

But now his chest felt a little lighter. Adam looked down at his hands.

’I told someone.’ Adam thought.

And Senju had not stepped away.

She had listened. She had been shocked. She had questioned him. But in the end, she had still said that she was with him.

Adam leaned back slightly and let out a slow breath.

’She is supportive.’ Adam thought. ’More than I expected.’

For a long time, Adam had treated support like something he could not depend on. Most people around him were tied to his plans, not to him.

But Senju’s support felt different.

Adam closed his eyes for a moment.

Until now, he had needed money more than anything. He had also needed people who could move for him when he could not move openly.

But maybe he had needed this too.

Someone who knew enough and still chose to stand beside him.

Adam opened his eyes again and looked at the quiet room.

For the first time in a long while, that support felt like something he truly needed.

After that night, two days passed inside the same hostel room.

Adam did not go out much. In fact, he almost did not step outside at all. The college was on holiday, so there was no reason for him to attend class or show his face around the campus.

That was better for him.

If he walked around too much, someone might start asking questions. John was already watching him. The college staff had also started treating him differently. Even a normal walk across campus could turn into another small problem.

So Adam stayed inside the room.

The next day, Senju sent the fake identity documents.

She had worked faster than Adam expected.

Adam opened the files on his phone and checked them carefully. The face was Walter’s face, and the papers matched the identity he needed to use.

For a moment, Adam only stared at the screen.

’She really did it this fast.’ Adam thought.

He did not waste time after that.

Adam forwarded the documents to Darien at once.

Darien did not call immediately. He only sent a short reply after some time, saying that he had received the documents and would move the paperwork forward.

After sending everything, Adam kept waiting inside the hostel room.

The first day ended.

The second day also passed.

And now, the day he had been waiting for had finally arrived.
