The only difference between Weaving Dreams and Dream Performance was in a single part of the skill’s description.

Dream Performance involved weaving a meticulously arranged dreamscape, actively created by the Dream-Acting Cat.

Weaving Dreams, on the other hand, wove a dreamscape based on the target’s own experiences. The Silver Shuttle Dream Weaving Cat could enter a target’s dream and, using its four-colored, heterochromatic eyes, investigate the target’s life experiences through that dream.

This investigation was rather vague. For now, Lan Po could only glimpse fragments of the most important moments in a target’s life.

However, a dreamscape adapted from personal experiences was undoubtedly more effective at influencing a target’s perception than one created from thin air.

If the Silver Shuttle Dream Weaving Cat’s skill changes were to be rated according to the Talent grading system for Guardian Beast Masters, then if Dream Performance was a B-Level skill, Weaving Dreams would be A+ Level at the very least.

However, both of the Exclusive Traits Lan Po gained from devouring the Soul Taming Seed and advancing to Silver Quality could allow its Weaving Dreams skill to perform far beyond the A+ Level standard.

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say they brought it to an S-level!

The Exclusive Trait, Dream Silver Shuttle, allowed Lan Po to condense one Silver Shuttle for every ten complete dreams it devoured.

Devouring a complete dream was easy—one simply had to ensure the dreamer was not disturbed during their sleep.

The Silver Shuttles, condensed from devoured dreams, could augment the Weaving Dreams skill, greatly increasing its success rate.

This made it much more likely for a target affected by Weaving Dreams to mistake what happened in the dream for reality.

Furthermore, the Silver Shuttles condensed by Lan Po could also be used to provide a designated target with Spiritual Defense.

It could defend against not only Spiritual Attacks, but also spiritual curses.

The Exclusive Trait, Dream Silver Shuttle, could be considered an ability that was equally strong in both utility and defense.

Zhong Yi mused to himself. ’Right now, the most prolific dream-producing Guardian Beast on the market is the Sleeping Dream Moth. Many Defense Type Guardian Beast Masters choose to form a Contract with this type of Guardian Beast. The Sleeping Dream Moth can use its Basic Skill, Dream Chain, to link to other targets before entering a dormant state. Any damage the linked target receives is split with the Sleeping Dream Moth. Both physical and Magic damage are converted into spiritual damage that affects the moth. And while the Sleeping Dream Moth is dormant, this spiritual damage is rapidly repaired and healed. If I were to raise a few Sleeping Dream Moths... they sleep for twenty-two hours a day, only waking for two hours to eat. A single Sleeping Dream Moth could produce many complete dreams in one day. With a few of them acting as a food source, Lan Po wouldn’t have to go searching for dreams to absorb. Besides, the quality of the Silver Shuttles condensed via the Dream Silver Shuttle trait depends on the quality of the dream that was devoured. The dreams of human Guardian Beast Masters are definitely inferior in quality to those of a Sleeping Dream Moth.’

Zhong Yi decided he would call Zhao Kai in a little while. He’d ask him to buy a few Sleeping Dream Moths before returning from his trip to recruit Craftsman Apprentices.

Zhong Yi’s order for Zhao Kai to use the Soul-Sealed Jasmine to control other Creators did seem rather ruthless.

After all, if Zhao Kai were to detonate the Soul Seal, the residual Soul Power left in a Creator’s soul would completely strip them of their ability to concoct Potions.

However, it was ultimately up to those Creators to choose whether they were willing to be controlled by the Soul-Sealed Jasmine.

Choosing to be controlled, of course, came with its own benefits.

Zhao Kai himself, for instance, had once caught the eye of a Five-finger Creator in his youth. If he had been willing to accept a Soul Seal back then, he could have saved himself more than a decade of struggle, and his current achievements would be far greater.

With a Five-finger Creator as his patron, Zhao Kai might never have experienced the calamity that forced him to leave Zhuxue City in disgrace. He wouldn’t have had to spend years in Starlight City before Zhong Yi finally saved him.

Many Creators were perfectly willing to trade their freedom for a shortcut. Advancing one’s Creator Level sooner brought about a world of difference in the resources and social status one could acquire.

As for Successor Nightmare, the other Exclusive Trait Lan Po gained upon its promotion to Silver Quality, it also served to enhance the Weaving Dreams skill.

For a person affected by Weaving Dreams to distinguish dream from reality, they would need to constantly seek verification.

The Exclusive Trait, Successor Nightmare, caused anyone affected by Weaving Dreams to fall into a Nightmare state every time they attempted to do so.

This Nightmare state would throw the target’s Spiritual Power into chaos, impairing their judgment.

As Lan Po’s Tier increased, a target with far weaker Spiritual Power would fall into a Mad Demon State after just a few attempts at verification, driven mad by the Nightmares.

They would completely lose the ability to distinguish dream from reality, becoming a lunatic driven by their delusions.

Besides augmenting the Skill of Weaving Dreams, Successor Nightmare was also a contagious, area-of-effect offensive Ability.

Every target affected by Weaving Dreams was essentially a time bomb. The moment they were "detonated" by the Nightmare’s influence, other nearby targets would fall into a Nightmare state.

Although their perception of reality wouldn’t be warped by Weaving Dreams, they would still suffer from an area-of-effect Spiritual Attack.

Zhong Yi was extremely satisfied with both of the Exclusive Traits Lan Po gained from its Quality promotion: Dream Silver Shuttle and Successor Nightmare.

Zhong Yi grabbed the cat bed from his bedside, scooped up Lan Po, and headed downstairs.

Zhao Kai had already taken Zhong Ling to the Craftsmen Association early that morning. His purposes were twofold: to recruit Craftsman Apprentices and to help Zhong Ling select some promising Blade-winged Butterflies.

Zhao Kai had asked Zhong Yi the previous night, and Zhong Ling had nothing scheduled for the day.
