Deceit Beasts, like Guardian Beast Masters, are also rated based on potential.

A Deceit Holder controlling over a dozen Deceit Beasts with Potential Talent Level A+ would be no less valuable than a dozen Guardian Beast Masters with Potential A+ Level.

Even without consuming the Lifebound Guardian Beasts of Guardian Beast Masters, raising a Deceit Beast is far easier than an ordinary Guardian Beast Master raising their own Lifebound Guardian Beast.

Deceit Beasts are generally divided into four types: the Flesh and Blood Element, Bone Element, Curse Element, and Deceit Element.

Aside from Deceit Element-type Deceit Beasts, which are somewhat troublesome to raise, the other three types can grow rapidly as long as they have an ample supply of flesh, blood, and souls.

Therefore, by forming the Deceit Beasts into squads and sending them into Secret Realms, their power can be rapidly increased.

If it weren’t for the fact that Zhong Yi was a Celestial Destiny Seeker, it would have been impossible for him to awaken a Deceit Beast in his Soul Base at the same time as an Order Beast.

When Lin Zhuo heard the Adventurers’ descriptions of Hong Ji at the entrance to the Horned Demon Secret Realm, she had almost thought Hong Ji was a Deceit Beast.

While a Deceit Holder with a Deceitful Moon Badge couldn’t match the status of a Celestial Destiny Seeker, they still ranked higher than a Four-finger Creator and could be considered an equal to Five-finger Level Creators.

Gaining another Deceit Holder would be a great boon for all of Starlight City. However, Lin Zhuo wouldn’t agree to let even another Celestial Destiny Seeker form a Contract with the Moon Eyes Bellflower, let alone Zhong Yi.

As Zhong Yi followed Lin Zhuo into one of the Deceitful Moon Towers, a graceful figure stood atop a tall building in Starlight City’s outer district.

A thin, ink-black silk satin dress clung tightly to her body, outlining her voluptuous figure.

A black outer robe was draped over the silk, its dark gauze fluttering in the wind and melting into the night sky.

The woman’s face, as perfect as a jade disk, held exquisitely delicate features. When the night wind lifted strands of her hair, it added a touch of spirited elegance to her fine features.

Her eyes seemed to overflow with compassion for all living things, yet deep within them, a hint of cold indifference and beguiling danger would surface unintentionally.

Perched directly atop the woman’s head was a spider barely larger than her palm. Its entire body resembled a piece of translucent, ink-black crystal, as if shrouded in a layer of night fog.

Without looking closely, it was difficult to see that the spider was continuously contracting its abdomen, ejecting a dense black mist, finer than dust, from its body.

As soon as this black mist touched the ground, it would instantly grow into individuals smaller than a fingernail.

These tiny individuals were about eighty percent similar to the spider on the woman’s head, though their body structure was not nearly as complex.

They lacked the two stinger-like barbs, curled high like scorpion tails, that grew from the hindmost legs of the spider perched on the woman’s head.

"Hmph! You think I can’t find you just because you’re hiding in Starlight City with that Rule Deceit Embryo?"

"Night-Cutting Spider, release another five hundred thousand spiderlings. Half of them will go to the Upper City District. I must find that Rule Deceit Embryo, even if I have to tear this city apart to do it."

At the woman’s command, the abdomen of the spider on her head shriveled violently.

The abdomen then seemed to cave in on itself as a great plume of inky mist merged into the night air, creating a sound like a rushing tide.

"Ah Yao, the Upper City District of every city in the Xin Xia Federation is guarded by a Celestial Destiny Seeker. She wouldn’t be stupid enough to take the Rule Deceit Embryo there."

"The Power of Rules within the Rule Deceit Embryo is highly unstable. Those venerable Celestial Destiny Seekers would sense it easily."

Hearing this, the woman, Ah Yao, swept a drifting strand of hair behind her shoulder. A chilling, murderous intent flashed across her features.

"The Mass Divine Sect’s White Mist Divine Hall—one of their four great divine halls—has dispatched three Blood Chief Priests and even sent out a Deceit Knight. Who knows what those lunatics are planning?"
