Inside the tent, all the commander and the generals of the army has gathered.

Most of them no longer have any mood to drink as they reported what they got from their information channel.

Vanheim possess one of the most extensive network channels among the many kingdoms rivaled only by that of United Kingdom of Veva and the Holy Zun Empire.

All of them took turns to tell about what happened in the capital, the reaction of the imperial court and so on and so forth.

A lot of them did not have information channel that targeted other kingdoms.

The reason is simply because the monopoly of that kind of information lies on the hands of the Chancellor who controls the Six Councils.

Aero listens to them and nodded when he wanted to express that he had understood what they were saying and slowly raising his finer when he wanted to asks something.

It took around fifteen minutes for the general to reports all the news that they have learned.

After that, there was silence as they waited for Aero to speak. Aero only smiles and then he slowly reported to them the news about the situation that is happening on Duvar and Karak.

They all were ecstatic that Veva had not yet taken the city since this increase their chance of successfully driving back Veva forces from taking the kingdom

But then when they talk about Karak, they all have their own opinions about it

No one knows what to do with the kingdom.

Usually this matter would be debated on the Parliament first and then the Emperor would listen to the sides of the military and scholar factions and arguments of the two sides and decide what to do. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

But it is clear right now the Council of War take the lead point here.

This is war and not some small matter that could take time for it to be debated in the Parliament.

The fact that Dan send the letter to Aero and ask what he should do is because right now, at least according to the office of the officials inside the Empire, other than the Emperor, the Chancellor is the second highest.

And since the matter of the frontline could only be understood by the people in the front line then it is only logical that Dan ask him what to do.

There is also the fact that Dan must have gotten the news that Kyle had given Aero the position of the Supreme Commander effectively making the matters of war, and the expedition to rest on his hand

There is so many things that is wrong with this

One of the reason is that it alienates the power of the Emperor but for the people of the court, they were used to this since the Chancellor even though he had been gone for almost two years, his presence is as strong as always and it is clear that no one wanted to disrespect him

One of the other reason why Dan ask Aero is because the plan of the Empire had never been about allying with Savillia.

They didn’t even know that they could ally with Savillia.

It is something that is unthinkable to many people in the court

The matter had never been discussed in any prewar preparations. This is because, Savillia is one of the kingdom that is under the western region sphere.

There is the fact that the empire did not know the stance of the Savillia kingdom toward the expansion of the Empire and their stance regarding Karak.

There is the fact that they have an enemy that is Veva on their borders. And the alliance that Savillia with their neighboring kingdom is unstable.

Not to mention, if they know Vanheim is expanding to west, instead of helping Vanheim, they might even ally with Karak and push back at Vanheim forces when they arrived at the western region of Karak

As such, the Empire had never hoped any participation from the Savillia kingdom that had not move since the beginning of the war in the western border of Vanheim.

Especially, one of the other reason why Vanheim felt it was difficult for Savillia to join them is because Savillia and Karak had no grudge against each other.

As such, even Dan was shocked when he suddenly was given the news that Aero had secured a deal with the Savillia kingdom for them to take the western borders of Karak and for the forces of Vanheim to take the eastern border

Dan did not know the full agreement and is now asking for help on what he should do.

Dan and most of the generals and commanders in the room all know that Aero is a very cunning person.

Even Kyle wonder that maybe there is a dark scheme in all of this. Is there a plot to beak the promise with the Savillia kingdom?

Is the next move for the Empire to take down Savillia on the west? Or are there some other hidden plots that they could not think of?

Everyone in the tent was very familiar with the way of how Aero operates. Don’t trust what he says. Observe what he does.

He might create a smoke on the west but instead burn the east.

As such, everyone in the room is wondering what Aero is planning to do

Aero then sighed and said

’I...in the beginning have promised the Savillia kingdom that they could take whatever land they conquered of Karak. And we the Empire would ally with them and respect their sovereignty’

’Is this sincere?’ Kyle ask

Aero reply ’It is’

Kyle frowned.

’This.... would the Grand Dream be realized like this?’ The generals inside the room did not dare raise the question so they could only express their disapproval with their expression.

But Kyle is the only one that could talk this way with the Chancellor.

Aero only smiles and said

’For Vanheim to rule all over the world, does it need every single land under its rule? As long as there is no rival, no competitor, we then would rule the world. there is other way of taking the whole world without burying it all under fire and ashes’ Aero said.

Kyle did not retort as he just silences himself.

’What is you plan then Your Excellency’ one of the general asked

’Regarding what?’

’Karak’ Kyle said.

’I have the plan of assimilating it into our Empire’ and the other general eyes shined but then Aero said

’But then I don’t think we should do that right now’

’Why?’ Kyle asked again. The tent is now silent, only these two people are talking with each other. Nobody wanted to weigh in when two of the most powerful person in the military circles started to talk with each other

’We have too many problems that needs to be settled. Better not make ourselves extend to much, too fast. Sometimes being stable is quite a hard thing to do’

’Such as?’ Aero smiles a bit looking at Kyle. Kyle is not asking only for him. He wants the other to understand.

Aero rarely explain his method and reason for doing things. He did not care if people understand or not why he did things because in the end the result speaks for itself

Kyle doing this is because he wanted to understand and he wanted the generals and commander to understand.

Of course, Aero did not mind telling it. It I not that he hides everything that he does. Sometimes, he even explains it to people and spread it to others so that people know who brings them victory and who brings them benefits.

At times, it is good acting mysterious. But it must not be taken too far
