He jutted his chin in the direction Joanna Sherman had disappeared.

Vincent Grant frowned slightly. "Joanna is just a business partner."

He said this while looking at Sophia.

"Sophia, can we talk?"

"Vincent Grant, what gives you the right to think you can talk to Faye?" Levin Sawyer shot back impolitely.

"A few years ago, Joanna Sherman nearly ruined you—your reputation, your business, everything. It was our Faye who humbled herself to save you, but you don’t have a shred of gratitude. Instead, you’re treating the very person who tried to ruin you like a precious treasure."

"A blind piece of trash like you should get the hell away from us. Don’t dirty our Faye’s sight!"

Levin Sawyer’s barrage of insults—calling him blind, calling him trash—was matched only by how protectively he shielded Sophia. The two of them looked incredibly intimate.
