Abandoned Omega: Wanted by the Bigshots in the Military Academy

Miles Sherman and Nathan Lockwood stepped aside to talk.

Erin Xavier, however, stood to the side, watching Zoe Pierce with a deep frown.

Only Chase Shaw noticed the large tree that had been attacked with spiritual power. The gashes were fresh. He also saw the rubble on the ground from an explosion, with just a few scattered, fingernail-sized fragments blasted across the area.

He reached out and touched the gashes, then squatted down and picked up a pinch of the rubble.

The residual spiritual power was minuscule. Even with careful inspection, it was impossible to tell who had left the marks.

Chase Shaw pulled his hand back, but his gaze fell on Zoe Pierce.

Nathan Lockwood’s spiritual power could certainly do this, but Chase Shaw didn’t think it was him.

He walked back from the tree and heard Zoe Pierce ask, "You’re back so soon? Have you already eliminated a few teams?"

Erin Xavier’s brow was still furrowed. "Of course."

In truth, they had returned after eliminating only a few people. Erin Xavier had been clamoring to come back and check on them, convinced something was wrong. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

The three of them didn’t know Zoe Pierce very well. Only Nathan Lockwood had spent the entire day in close contact with her.

Zoe Pierce was actually a little curious about how Erin Xavier and the others had eliminated people. After all, she had been stuck here training. Since the start of the joint exam, aside from running into the unlucky Ethan Grant, she hadn’t encountered anyone else.

There were too many things she needed to find out, which was why she had listened to Nathan Lockwood and hadn’t told anyone else.

"Zoe Pierce, I just used my spiritual power. Soothe it for me."

’You look perfectly energetic and full of life. Do you look like you’re in discomfort?’

Zoe Pierce felt that the person on the team who held the most malice toward her was probably Erin Xavier.

The spiritual power in his body clearly didn’t seem very agitated, yet he extended his hand toward her as if to test something.

Within seconds, Zoe Pierce had purified and soothed it completely. She lifted her fingers from Erin Xavier’s palm. "All done."

She looked at Erin Xavier. With even a slightly agitated spirit sea, he should be able to tell that her spiritual power was different.

Sure enough, Erin Xavier felt it right away.

He finally understood just how comforting the soothing ability, which both Nathan Lockwood and Chase Shaw had vouched for, truly was.

’Damn, I don’t want to admit it.’

The way Erin Xavier looked at Zoe Pierce changed slightly.

Seeing Erin Xavier’s attitude toward her soften, Zoe Pierce breathed a sigh of relief. Thank goodness this little terror wasn’t looking for trouble anymore.

’Now I should be able to stay on this team.’

Now, three people on the team had acknowledged her soothing ability. Only Miles Sherman was left, and he was the most normal person on the team. So basically, the entire team accepted her.

Nathan Lockwood and Miles Sherman had already walked over from the side. Zoe Pierce didn’t know what they had discussed.

But very soon, Zoe Pierce noticed a change.

When Miles Sherman and the others went out to eliminate teams, they took her with them.

Along the way, they came across some Xenobeasts that had been dealt with by some unknown Alphas. Their massive bodies lay on the ground, attracting numerous creatures.

The first thing Zoe Pierce had learned about in this interstellar age was the Xenobeasts. It was, after all, related to the sudden surge in her spiritual power as an Omega.

Legend had it that long ago, before the world underwent its mutation, humans had only two sexes: Alpha males and Omega females. But as time went on, the world suddenly began a peculiar mutation.

Animals began to grow fangs; some were even twisted beyond recognition, becoming extremely aggressive. And humans, along with the mutated animals, also began to change.

Alpha men began to possess spiritual power. However, after prolonged contact with these mutated animals, their spiritual power would become volatile. Only Omegas, through their pheromones and the spiritual power that mutated alongside them, could soothe the Alphas’ spiritual power.

Gradually, as time passed, the descendants of Alphas and Omegas also mutated, giving rise to the other four sexes.

Humanity’s technological power was also constantly expanding toward other planets. But at this time, they also discovered that even on alien worlds, all animals had undergone this same mutation.

That was a bloody period of history. Some of the frenzied Xenobeasts had strong territorial instincts and devoured entire human populations.

But humanity refused to give up, fighting back fiercely while simultaneously advancing their technology.

With this two-pronged approach, most of the Xenobeasts were wiped out, and an interstellar order was established.

But the war wasn’t over yet. Zoe Pierce knew this from the fact that she was attending a military academy. The outside world was still locked in a protracted war with the Xenobeasts.

Xenobeasts could reproduce normally. Unless every last one of them was eliminated, the war would never end. Obviously, facing a vast galaxy, this was an almost impossible task.

However, thanks to centuries of purges, humanity still held the upper hand.

This was the reason military academies went to great lengths to release Xenobeasts into the joint exam. Regardless of whether the students would later enter the military, they all needed to understand this history. As Alphas and Omegas, they were all required to contribute their strength.

Of course, Zoe Pierce felt that while that was the official line, it was a bit of an exaggeration. After all, she felt the academy went easy on Omegas.

The items prepared for Omegas in the spatial-storage buttons considered her every need, while the Alphas had none of these things.
