Synopsis

Raven Young thought she was finally done.

One last mission, and she could walk away from the organization for good—leave everything behind and live a normal, peaceful life.

But that mission?

It became her first failure.

And everything fell apart.

So she ran.

Not to save herself—but to escape the people hunting her down. They pushed her to the edge, cornered her with no way out… until her only choice was to jump off a cliff and pray she’d somehow survive.

She didn’t expect to wake up again.

But she did.

Just not as herself.

When Raven opened her eyes, she found herself in someone else’s body—Ivy.

The same woman who caused her mission to fail.

As if that wasn’t enough, she quickly realizes she can’t just walk away.

A man and his son won’t let her go.

The man keeps her close, his reasons unclear, his presence intense and impossible to ignore.

The child, on the other hand, clings to her like she belongs to him—determined to keep his “parents” together, even dreaming about having a complete family.

“…What kind of mess is this?”

Raven has never felt more screwed over by fate.

But the longer she lives as Ivy, the more things stop making sense. Secrets start to surface—truths that tie their lives together in ways she can’t escape.

And the man who refuses to let her go?

Little by little… he starts getting under her skin in the worst way possible.

Ivy pressed back against the wall as Xander stepped closer, closing the distance between them.

“Still acting like this doesn’t affect you?” he said quietly.

“You’re overthinking it,” she replied, trying to stay calm.

“Am I?” His fingers brushed her wrist, slow and deliberate, sending a strange warmth through her.

Her hand tightened slightly on his shirt before she even realized it.

“Then tell me to stop,” he murmured.

She didn’t.

The air between them shifted, heavy and tense.

His gaze dropped to her lips, giving her time to pull away.

She didn’t.

And before either of them could stop it, the distance between them disappeared.
