The flickering blue flames in the dragon’s empty eye sockets burned past Yekaterina, locking onto Yeomyeong.

–You’ve grown even stronger. Excellent.

“....”

Yeomyeong didn’t answer. Instead, he reached out with telekinesis—not toward Kahal Magdu, but toward the two sisters behind him.

–This place is too cramped for a fight.

A moment later, the skeletal dragon’s jaws gaped open.

A glow of blue fire gathered within its maw, the mana within the sewer shuddering as the temperature spiked.

The instant the dragon’s breath erupted—

Kahal Magdu rose after them, its enormous body displaying a terrifying agility, the debris of shattered concrete and stone scattering in every direction.

The dragon gazed down at Yeomyeong and the sisters.

–You’ve ripened enough, Cheonyeomyeong. It’s time to harvest.

As it spoke, it lifted a forelimb. Twisted mana surged through its fingers, spreading outward.

Not an attack—a command.

From every direction, the sound of undead footsteps echoed.

From alleyways, sewers, even rooftops—the undead were coming.

“...Both of you, handle the zombies. I’ll take care of the dragon.”

Yeomyeong tightened his grip on his sword as he spoke.

The buildings around it shattered, the streets burned, but—

Yeomyeong’s speed was just a fraction faster.

And finally—

Yeomyeong’s sword pierced between the dragon’s ribs.

There, in his sight—

A massive blue gemstone, pulsing with fire.

The dragon’s heart.

A crystal, fragile enough that his sword could cut it in one strike.

The moment Yeomyeong’s blade touched the heart—

–You let your guard down.

BOOOOOOOM!

From within the heart, an overwhelming surge of mana erupted.

The force hurled Yeomyeong backward, sending him flying out of the ribcage.

Severed ribs crashed to the ground with a heavy thud.
