I clenched hard, my body trembling. My arousal had reached its peak, but there was nowhere for it to go.
"Are you sure you want that?" he asked teasingly. I watched as his tongue ran across his bottom lip, savoring the taste of me as though it was a feast fit for a king.
Did I?
I should.
Soren shouldn’t be here. He should be with Rowan and Cassian, celebrating their marriage with Violet. I was their fated mate, but what was the use of a fated mate they refused to choose?
But Soren did choose me.
There was this stupid voice stuck at the back of my head, delusional and persistent. He chose to stay here with me, his fated mate, rather than the chosen mate that he shared with his other brothers.
Maybe it was because he didn’t like to share, or maybe it was because he really felt something for me. Regardless of the reason, he was here right now, with me, instead of being in Violet’s bed for their wedding night.
However, did showing up one time erase all the cold shoulders and abuse he and his brothers had forced upon me for the last few years? Soren wasn’t the worst of them, but he had never stepped up for me. He remained impassive, watching as the rest of the pack treated me no better than the scum on the shoes.
"I..." The words were choked in my throat.
I hated him. I hated Soren, along with the rest of their brothers. I hated how the Moon Goddess paired me with them, my three greatest tormentors. I hated how they cared not for my well-being nor my life, despite being my fated mates, the only people who should care for me.
However, I couldn’t bring myself to say it. Because deep down, even if this was just an illusion forced upon me by the attraction of fated mates, I wanted Soren to love me.
I wanted someone to love me. Soren was simply the most viable option right now. He offered me the very thing I wanted and didn’t realize I so badly craved.
With Rowan, I was driven by the lust and irrationality brought on by my heat. My overloading pheromones probably drove Rowan to relapse in judgment as well. However, this was different. My body felt as though it was on fire, but there was no heat― at least not the same way it happened with Rowan. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
And as for Soren, he wasn’t Rowan. They had very similar faces, but they weren’t the same man.
Fuck it. If I had to simplify this as a way to get back on Violet, I would.
I pulled the lapels of Soren’s suit jacket, crushing my lips against his. He moved expertly almost immediately, grabbing me by the back of my thighs. With one lurch, he lifted me up, pressing me against the door, supported only by his arms.
One of his hands reached down to his pants, and I could hear the sound of his zipper getting yanked down in one fell swoop. His member sprang free, but I barely had the chance to look at it before he positioned himself right at my entrance.
His tip pressed against my lips, and I shivered at the sensation of our most intimate parts touching. I was practically leaking, my arousal dripping everywhere, and amplifying every sensation tenfold. Even the most subtle movement sent my body jerking.
"Deep breath," Soren muttered against my neck, and I barely had the time to nod before he thrust in.
My mouth formed an ’o’ shape, silently groaning as his member stretched me open bit by bit. As he pushed deeper, my walls stretched to accommodate him. Soren buried his face into the crook of my neck, his lips brushing against my shoulders as he breathed heavily.
"Fuck, Briar," he muttered, his voice trembling, heavily coated with pleasure. "Fuck, you feel so good."
I could only nod, my hips instinctively rocking against him. I was impatient. The moment Soren had hilted himself in me, I started to crave more. He paused for a second to adjust, maybe even for me to accommodate his size, but I was already wet and ready for him.
My lower stomach felt so full that it could burst, but that only made me more excited than I was before.
"Whoa there," Soren said, laughing. His eyes glittered with mischief. He wore an expression I had never seen before, and my stomach fluttered as though there were butterflies in me. "No need to be impatient."
A sound left my throat, in between a whine and a whimper. I ignored his instructions, my hips drawing circles against him. Soren’s hand had no choice but to clamp down on my hips to hold me in place, his face oddly flushed as though he was also trying to control his own lustful desires.
"Greedy," he tutted under his breath.
He drew out quickly, and I was instantly left feeling hollow and empty. Soren stopped with nothing but his tip left in me. I had barely even started to say anything when he suddenly slammed back in, practically knocking the air out of me.
My eyes rolled back, and instantly, my body began to shake, reaching the climax that I was denied just now when he withdrew his fingers.
However, he wasn’t done.
"You didn’t think it was over, did you?" he asked.
"Wait, Soren," I said, my voice breathy. "I just came―"
He grunted, completely ignoring my pleas. Instead, he began to pump relentlessly, his hips rocking back and forth in a rhythmic motion that quickly drove me insane.
"I’m still sensitive―"
"Good," he said, his voice slightly raspy. Beads of perspiration clung to his skin, and the sound of our sin echoed throughout the room. Hell, it was so loud that it was perhaps even audible down the corridor. "I want you to remember every second of this."
I gasped and panted, my nails leaving marks down his back as I clung on for dear life. Wave after wave of pleasure rolled through me, leaving me stuck hanging in a constant state of high as Soren continued to pound into my sore cavern with reckless abandon.
Soon enough, his movements started to turn sloppy. I had already forgotten how many times I was forced to climb to my climax, but as I felt the next one building, Soren’s breathing grew even more labored than before.
My back knocked against the thin wooden panel of the door, the banging masking our moans and mewls nearly perfectly if there were any eavesdroppers.
"Soren, I can’t―" I said with a groan as my orgasm quickly snowballed. I was near my breaking point, and I knew it. My fingers dug through the thick strands of his ebony hair, and I panted heavily.
"Yes, baby," he cooed. "Cum. I want to feel you."
