He gripped the hilt of his sword with both hands and consciously drew out the dark, cool energy of the ’Shadow’ fragment resting in his core. The crystalline blade instantly shifted, taking on a deep, violent purple hue. It hummed with the exact same frequency as the Omni Domain itself.

The Zone Boss charged again, raising its massive fists to crush him.

Zen stepped directly into the attack.

He threw a wide, horizontal slash aimed at the beast’s waist. The boss’s predictive AI instantly read the trajectory and shifted 80% of its hex-shield to its midsection to block the blow.

But Zen didn’t follow through.

Mid-swing, defying all laws of kinetic momentum, he abruptly halted the blade, dropped his center of gravity, and lunged upward.

He thrust the purple-glowing sword directly toward the creature’s exposed neck.

The hex-shield algorithm panicked.

It tried to shift the shields upward to block, but the moment the shield sensors detected the S-Rank ’Shadow’ mana coating Zen’s blade, a micro-second of lag hit its system. It registered the attack as a "friendly" Spymaster protocol.

But this time, it didn’t wait to charge a focused beam. It began firing rapid, volatile blasts of Void energy across the entire room, turning the server hub into a blazing inferno.

Zen used the Emperor’s Stride to weave through the blasts. He slid under the energy attacks, ran along the walls of falling debris, and got closer little by little. His stamina was dropping, and he was struggling to catch his breath, but his eyes stayed fixed on the glowing cannon in the middle of the boss’s chest.

"The chest plates have to pull back for the cannon to fire," Zen calculated. "That’s the only time the core is exposed."

Zen stopped dodging sideways. Instead, he sprinted directly at the towering monster.

Before the chest plates could snap shut, Zen grabbed the searing-hot rim of the cannon with his free hand, ignoring the agonizing burn.

He hoisted himself up, pulled his arm back, and drove the purple-glowing crystalline sword straight down the barrel of the cannon, plunging it directly into the hybrid’s tech-Void core.

"Swallow this," Zen growled.

He poured every last drop of his ’Shadow’ mana into the blade. The conflicting S-Rank energies instantly triggered a catastrophic reaction deep inside the monster’s chest.

Zen kicked off the beast’s chest, backflipping away just as the Zone Boss’s core destabilized.

The monster let out a loud, distorted screech before it violently imploded. A shockwave of blue light and black ash tore through the room, shattering every glass panel and light fixture in the sector.

Zen landed on knee, his chest heaving as he lowered his sword.

A deafening BOOM shook the entire foundation of the zone.

The heavy steel ceiling thirty feet above Zen didn’t just crack; it was blown inward with an incredible force. Massive chunks of concrete and metal rained down; the three observer drones instantly angled upward, capturing the thick, choking cloud of dust filling the room.

The chat went dead silent.

From the center of the falling debris, a figure landed with an earth-shattering thud that cracked the very floorboards Zen was standing on.

Six automated, heavy-artillery drones immediately swarmed out of the dust, their red targeting lasers locking onto every shadow in the room.

Zen’s heart stopped.

The sleek, magi-tech plating hugged her form, pulsing with neon-purple circuitry that glowed with a terrifying beauty. A tactical visor covered the upper half of her face, but her intense, purple eyes cut through it, focusing solely on Zen.

The air around her was so dense with raw, suffocating mana that the ambient gravity in the room felt twice as heavy.

She stopped a few feet away from him, looking at the ash of the Zone Boss, and then back at Zen’s panting, exhausted form.

Then a slow, wicked, and completely unhinged smile spread across her lips.
