"So none of it concerns me since I didn’t know these things were in there."

Killian paced around the room, already seeing the end to this interrogation, but he needed to stretch the last piece of this.

"I had suffered damage of my own, so whatever damages you claimed happened in the realm, I’m a victim too."

"What damage did you suffer?" Someone else spoke for the first time, while adjusting his glasses. "And do you have proof of it?"

Killian grinned, feeling pleased that someone bit the hook. He dug into his pockets and took out a thin wrist band. He waved it slowly. "This is a biometric wristband given by the Amega Region. I could let you have it to prove my claim."

The A-Rank Warden reached for it but Killian pulled it back, and asked her. "Wouldn’t you ask what you expect to see here?"

"A heart rate graph of you chickening out because of Fire Breathing Tigers?" She smirked, snatching the wrist band and leaving the table. "Or was it the Panthers that made you wet yourself?"

Killian smiled, watching her leave. He whispered under his breath.

"She’s up for a rude awakening."

The wristband was strapped to a laptop, and Killian watched the ones above gather around the monitor like children watching a show. The A-Rank Warden looked at him first.

Killian’s grin widened.

"What... are we looking at?"

"What I mean when I say I was a victim too. Being trapped in that realm with those power creatures and panthers higher in rank than I was. My body heated up. And I went through bad panic attack. How does the board plan to compensate?’

"You call this a bad panic attack?’ the Coordinator dragged his eyes away from the screen, and rubbed his temples. "These are the readings our evolved animals get. Never this high though."

Killian’s grin faltered when the man said that. He breathed in and out, regaining his composure.

Evolution never happened to human beings in the normal sense, so the man was likely only speaking figuratively.

Still Killian was on his toes at the accurate speculation. He didn’t know the coordinator enough to guess he made speculations like that.

And the man had been oddly quiet for someone who had asked him to meet. "The heat of the Fire Centurions must’ve knocked me out a couple of times, as you can see."

All eyes returned to the monitor. They scrolled right, reading the crazy fluctuations on the heart rate graph.

A 226 BPM was enough to be potentially lethal especially for Fire Users with an unsteady body. To be able to survive that for almost five minutes, despite the numerous low fluctuations, was an arrhythmia-level insane.

His temperature had also reached a high of 41 degrees and rushed a dangerous hyperthermia but his survival wasn’t very shocking since Fire Users had the best resistance to heat.

"My second element also became inadequate." Killian added for more pity points. "That accounts for the stress level, and paralysis recorded."

The A-Rank Warden stepped away from the monitor as if she didn’t want to be involved in such pain anymore. "So you are a Dual-Element User?"

"Yes. Fire and Sound. It was hell for me there. The Sound Element did nothing against the panthers, and my Fire did nothing against the Fire Centurions even if they had attacked."

He let his words hang in the air, and soak up all the pity that those listening could possibly render.

Two older men glanced at the Coordinator and the one with glasses closed the laptop, with a soft sigh. Killian felt greatly pleased with himself.

"You are full of surprises, young Warden. I can’t even chalk this to potential luck or anything." The Coordinator said, rising from his seat. "I am not saying I completely believe you, but this is undeniable proof..."

Killian nodded.

"You are not what you claim to be." The coordinator finished.

Killian’s expression darkened. ’What is he saying?’ He glanced at the A-Rank Warden who seemed to have the same question on her face.

The Coordinator unplugged his wristband and raised it.

"This shows you went through great pain. Yes. But you had also fallen asleep for hours afterwards. Your heart rate before your sleep, it seemed you were high on a drug...?"

The Coordinator cleared his throat, unsure of what he was saying.

But Killian knew. After Dawn of Death arrived, the next few seconds had been completely different and could be likened to ecstasy.

"Your body temperature had also reduced so it might not have been a side effect of the high heat," the Coordinator added.

"Why not?" Killian asked. "I am no doctor but it is reasonable to fall asleep after going wild like that. I never said I stood at one place while going through that either. The damage speaks for itself."

The older man with glasses nodded. "Yes, he must’ve gone on a rampage in the realm. He had arrived bloodied during his match and lots of panthers were gone. I believe those two incidents aren’t mutually exclusive."

Killian nodded silently towards him.

The Coordinator still had the wristband stretched towards him, and uncertainty was written all over his face.

He looked away. "Very well. I will leave it at that, and I will take responsibility for the pain you went through, Killian."

"You should." Killian nodded. His hands pulled out his pockets and he massaged them slightly. "Even if my question wasn’t answered today, I’d take it as I shouldn’t know about the Fire Centurions."

"Well, yes." The A-Rank Warden spoke. "But you might hear it soon. The Fire Centurions are no longer sealed, and it takes a strong Fire Warden to make them submit and force them to get sealed. If they are tamed by another, then that will be a problem."

’Tamed?’ Killian shook the thoughts off his head. The beast he saw that day did not seem like the type that would want to be tamed.

Wardens always tried to dominate over every creature that they never asked if it was necessary to do so.

Killian heard the door click open. He kept a hand on his hip tiredly as he walked out. He turned to the Coordinator.

"Surprise me with something nice as a way to take responsibility. Supplements. A lot of Mana Restoration Vials. A nice weapon. And just in case, my favorite color is red."
