Leon completely ignored the loud, aggressive shouting of the surrounding players, as if they weren’t even a threat worth considering.
He turned his gaze directly toward the center of the street, where a thin, glowing orange crack was now rapidly and violently spreading across the empty air like fracturing glass.
The predatory monster he had just effortlessly killed had slipped right out of that exact spatial crack only a moment prior, instantly attacking the first human person that had unfortunately appeared in its direct line of sight.
The air around the widening rupture hummed with an intense, vibrating energy that made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up.
His original plan had been to wait for the two child parties to create a commotion due to their rivalry, but to his surprise, they cooperated quite well despite the sparks flying between them.
At the end of the day, he simply decided to create that commotion himself.
The guild players, seeing him ignore their commands didn’t hesitate. They immediately rushed forward, their heavy boots slamming against the asphalt as they completely surrounded him in a tight, defensive circle, cutting off all obvious paths of escape.
"Don’t you dare move a single inch!" one of the senior vanguard leaders bellowed fiercely, pointing the sharp tip of his greatsword directly at Leon’s chest.
"What the hell are you doing inside this restricted perimeter? What guild exactly sent you here to interfere with our operation?!"
Leon ignored their questions once again, completely refusing to utter a single word of explanation to the men encircling him.
Instead, the grin on his face grew wider and wider as he watched the glowing crack in reality continue to spread and warp the space behind them.
Soon, the thin lines of light converged completely, and a large, towering door frame materialized out of thin air, solidifying into the physical entrance of the C-rank dungeon.
The swirling vortex inside the entrance was a thick, vibrant orange color that pulsated like molten lava, with millions of thin, unstable cracks constantly spider-webbing around the stone edges.
Leon finally shifted his gaze slightly toward the tense warriors surrounding him, his voice smooth and entirely mocking as he spoke to them for the very first time.
"Are you guys absolutely sure you want to keep focusing all of your attention on me right now," Leon said, his eyes gleaming with anticipation under his hood. "Or should you perhaps be focusing on that massive, dangerous gate that is currently opening right behind you?"
Before any of the fourteen surrounding players could even find the words to respond to his blatant provocation, another deafening, earth-shattering roar echoed loudly from the depths of the swirling vortex.
The ground beneath their feet shook violently as two more massive, red and black striped saber-tooth tigers burst violently out of the glowing orange gate, their claws ripping into the pavement.
The sudden, dual emergence of the C-rank monsters instantly shattered the tight circle the players had formed around the independent intruder.
The vanguard units instinctively flinched, their attention momentarily splitting between the threat of the beastly outbreak and the mysterious hooded level four player.
Leon didn’t waste a single second of the distraction they offered.
He immediately charged straight forward with explosive speed, using the raw momentum of his advanced physical stats to propel himself directly toward the pulsing gate.
Several of the nearby Rainy Shine and Cross Block players realized what he was doing and frantically tried to grab him or block his path with their heavy shields.
However, Leon leaped high up into the air, soaring completely over the heads of the players who tried to stop him.
Leon extended his leg mid-air and ruthlessly used the face of an unsuspecting Cross Block player as leverage.
He kicked off the man’s face with immense force, using the solid impact to launch himself even further and higher into the air, propelling his body directly towards the two massive sabertooth monsters in front of the dungeon gate.
The two striped beasts immediately noticed the human flying straight toward them.
They furiously bared their massive, one-foot-long fangs at him, bending their powerful hind legs before lunging fiercely upward into the air toward his body with a loud, deafening roar that shook the surrounding buildings.
Leon remained completely calm as the distance between them closed, his expression unbothered by the incoming claws.
He simply swung the hilt of Excalibur, which was still currently resting in its hidden phantom mode, revealing absolutely nothing to the world except for a faint, barely visible wispy smoke form in his grip.
The moment his arm slashed through the air, a huge crescent-shaped slash immediately flew out from the invisible edge of the legendary blade.
The massive projectile crackled violently with bright, volatile golden lightning, illuminating the entire empty street with a magnificent, blinding flash of divine power.
The brilliant golden slash closed in on the two lunging monsters in less than a second, cutting through their thick hides like warm butter.
It effortlessly split both of the massive sabertooth tigers cleanly into two halves mid-air before continuing its downward trajectory and violently slamming directly into the hard ground below, making an incredibly deep, jagged trench across the black asphalt.
The stunned players standing on the street behind him finally snapped out of their brief daze as they watched the C-rank beasts get instantly obliterated.
They pointed their weapons at his ascending figure and shouted at the top of their lungs, "Stop him! Don’t let him get inside the gate!" as they desperately charged forward in a frantic line after him.
Leon chuckled darkly to himself at their futile efforts, completely ignoring the furious screams echoing from behind his back.
He tightly pulled his legs inward and leaped with all his might directly towards the swirling, thick orange vortex of the C-rank dungeon gate.
As he jumped high into the open space, the sudden, violent gush of wind created by the spatial rupture blew incredibly strongly against his forward-moving body.
The harsh gale caught the edges of his dark clothing and completely blew back the thick black hoodie from his head, fully revealing his facial features to the fourteen players watching from below.
The entire vanguard group subconsciously halted their running footsteps in absolute shock, their eyes widening to the limit as they stared up at the young man’s face.
The sheer, terrifying display of speed, power, and absolute ruthlessness they had just witnessed caused a single name to instantly pop into all of their heads.
’Yeon Allistar...?’
