Reincarnated with a God of Death System

The ogre roared again but this time, it was weakly. It tried to stand its ground but with the bleeding enchantment on Bell’s dagger, it was losing too much blood and soon, it fell to the ground just like the first ogre. Spilling it blood on the ground and anything close to it as it died and soon it disappeared, leaving no evidence that it was once alive.

The other two ogre now looked surprised, somewhat scared as Bell turned to them.

"Who’s next?"

The ogres both looked at each other, both waiting for the other to stand up first. Bell sighed as he watched the cooldown complete, he was now able to use [dash] again. He did a few stretches while the ogres argued and he activated the skill and dashed toward them.

The ogres didn’t notice Bell until slammed the first ogre head into the wall and tried to stab it but it’s counterpart immediately swung at him. Bell dodged and landed on the centre of the battleground, expecting the ogre to mistakenly cut through its partner’s head but surprisingly... it stopped.

Even though they seemed scared, they were not sluggish. They ogres both looked at each other and stood up, the first dashed towards him and Bell immediately blocked its attack, and surprisingly, he didn’t get blown away even though Ryu was pushed back.

He held his own against the ogre and even pushed back, while he was struggling. The second ogre rushed to his sister and swung it machete at her, Bell turned back to save her but before he could reach her.

Ryu ducked but blade was still able to cut some strands of her hair, Bell hopped on the ogre back and tried to slice it neck but the second ogre grabbed him from behind and slammed him into the ground.

He spat out blood as his body made contact with the ground, creating a crater on the ground and raising some dust. The two ogres began storming on him, pushing him deeper into the ground and blurring his vision with all the dust.

Ryu immediately activated another [healing ground], healing the ogre to but to her Bell was more important. If she knew any offensive spell she would have been able to help her big brother and not let him suffer through this all alone.

Right from when they were kids, even when she still had her sight, she had always been a burden to him. Bell took care of her when she had her sight and still took care of her when she was blind and still took care of her even when he’s trying to be an adventurer.

Bell might have not say it to her but she already knows it. She was useless, he had always taken care of her and now was her turn to do the same.

She pointed her arms towards Bell who was she getting stomped, her eyes closed and she concentrated. She had to be able to use an attack magic, any attack magic but even after a while, nothing happened. She gave up and fell to her knees, feeling disappointed and frightened.

"I can’t be useful after all"

At least that was what she thought, that was until Bell held the ogres legs. She could hear him yell in pain as he used his bear strength to push the ogre’s legs, throwing them few meters into the air before the crashed into the ground.

"Ryu?"

"Right!" Ryu summon another magic circle, healing Bell.

Bell rushed at the first ogre and jumped on top of it, with a sideward slash at the ogre’s neck, he decapitated the monster. The second ogre immediately stood up and ran towards Ryu, Ryu-who was still shock-quickly jumped out of the way and surprisingly, the ogre ran passed her and started digging out the dirt of the entrance which Bell and his sister had came through.

Bell quickly went after it and grabbed its head from behind and with all the force he could muster, he smashed the ogre’s head against the wall and scattering it into pieces.

A few seconds had passed after Bell had killed the ogres, their bodies had disappeared along with the bloodstains on his body. Bell walked towards Ryu, his body was screaming in pain as he took a health potion and then a mana potion, leaving two healing potions and four mana potions left.

Ryu used her healing once so she wouldn’t need a potion, at least not now. Based of all the previous battles, he was almost certain that the next one with be some kind of more powerful ogre, unless the system tries to mess with him.

He patted his sister’s head, "you did a great job"

Ryu smiled for a moment before shaking her head roughly and pushing off her brother’s arm, Bell smiled and sat down to catch his breath. Even though the potions healed his injuries, they don’t remove his fatigue which can be a pain when he’s really in trouble. He really need to work out of he wants his body to keep up.

Bell was sure minutes had passed as he looked up at the light blue screen floating in the air, it was still displaying the "wave completed" thing and they was suppose to be a new wave but nothing is happening. He did just fight nine waves of monsters without resting, maybe this is the system way of telling him to rest to regain his strength, because he’s going to need a lot of it.

"Big brother, is it done? Are all the monsters dead?" Ryu asked after ten minutes had passed, she must also be tired to stay there for that long. "I don’t sense any monsters nearby"

"I don’t that’s it" Bell replied as he stood up, he held her arm while looking at the screen. "The boss should be here any minute now"

"How are you so su..."

It was like the system heard him and in that very moment, he sensed an ominous presence and he immediately turned to Ryu who had really sensed it. She tried to push him out of the way but thanks to his reflexes, Bell managed to push his sister away and the suddenly felt a sharp pain on his right arm, only to look up and see his arm flying off and landed a few meters away from him
