Suddenly, she felt a chill.

The late-night wind blew past the tips of her hair, carrying an icy chill.

The moon vanished behind the mist.

Yu Zhizhi submerged herself in the water, letting the heat rise past her shoulders. Her heart pounded like a drum.

The Duke sat on the edge of the pool, his deep purple robes hanging open. He watched the young female hiding in the water, his voice thick with desire.

"What are you hiding from?"

"...No more," Yu Zhizhi said, her face flushed. The water was scalding, but the rising steam gave her a sense of security.

The Duke chuckled. "We’ve only just begun."

By dawn, she had been carried back to her room.
