By now, the white-haired man had no strength left to fight back. He knelt there like a heap of boneless flesh. He wasn’t dead yet, but he was still trying to talk tough:

With a solemn expression, he tucked the manual into his robes and strode toward Qian Fangxue’s body.

Near the shattered chair, besides Qian Fangxue, lay four other bodies.

In truth, ever since Fang Shuwen had found Shui Qianrou in that town and the disciples of Yuqing Pavilion had relayed the news back to their sect, these Demon Dao followers shouldn’t have made any more moves against her.

Their plan had been exposed, so capturing Shui Qianrou again would have been pointless.
