That very day, without wasting a moment, Sean immediately divorced Moana.
Moana seemed unable to accept that reality, but she didn’t cry out loud. She didn’t scream. She just sat there frozen, as if her body was still there, but her soul had already slipped away.
Sean slowly closed his laptop. That little "click" sounded far more cruel than a shout.
"Take her away," he said curtly to his men.
"Where to?" one of them asked.
Sean glanced at Moana briefly. Cold. Empty.
"Just far away from my life."
That was all.
No prison. No special escort. No protection.
Moana was truly cast aside.
That woman neither fought back nor begged. She seemed resigned to her fate. Because she knew that no matter how hard she fought against Sean, she wouldn’t get what she wanted. Sean wouldn’t forgive her.
But her inner voice told her otherwise. Something inside her told her that Moana shouldn’t just give up like that.
Before she actually walked out the door, Moana turned to the man she had been with all this time.
"Sean, Darling ..., are you really going to cast me aside like this? Am I really that filthy in your eyes?"
Sean laughed. "You brainless whore! How dare you speak like that without a shred of shame!"
"Sean! Don’t forget! You once loved me so much that you forgot about your wife. And now you’re throwing me away like trash?"
"Moana! Don’t make me change my mind! Don’t make me kill you in the blink of an eye!"
"I’m not afraid of your threats, Sean! My life is already ruined! I’m not afraid of any kind of threat!"
Sean spat! His anger boiled over.
"Then what do you want?!" He grabbed Moana’s chin and glared at her.
"Sean, let’s fix everything. We can talk this out. You have to hear my explanation first." Moana’s lips trembled.
"Get away from me, you whore! I’m sick of looking at you!" Sean shouted.
Moana fell silent. Then, Sean’s men quickly took the woman away.

The next day.
That morning, Moana’s world crumbled before the public. Her self-respect was torn to shreds. Moana was nearly driven mad. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
The news broke almost simultaneously.
The wife of a major businessman was implicated in a prostitution ring and business manipulation.
Videos and transaction records leaked all at once.
Roberto’s name was mentioned, then retracted. Leo’s name didn’t appear at all.
Only one name remained in the headlines: Moana.
And Sean ..., he wanted revenge. He wanted the public to see Moana as a corrupt, broken, despicable person—the most hateful of all. He paid the media a fortune to twist the facts and the story.
Sean made sure his narrative was airtight.
He emphasized that Moana wasn’t Roberto’s victim, but rather the mastermind behind it all. To Sean, Moana was the sole traitor.
Moana’s phone rang nonstop. Not from friends, not from family.
But from lawyers withdrawing their services. From partners who cut ties. From people who used to smile at her.
And amidst all that, the most crushing thing of all: Not a single message from Sean arrived.
"Sean! Help me!" Moana typed a message to the man she had once longed for and had once been with.
No reply.
"Sean, you have to do something. I’m scared. Everyone is cursing me. Everyone hates me. Please, Sean. I’m still your Moana. The woman you loved and who once carried your child." Again, Moana typed a message to Sean.
Still, no reply.
Moana panicked, especially when Sean’s profile picture disappeared.
"Damn it! I’ve been blocked!"
But Moana wasn’t about to give up. She tried looking for another card and called her ex-boyfriend using a different number. Ex? Yeah! That seemed like the perfect label for Sean. After all, their relationship had run its course.
Moana dialed Sean’s number, which she knew by heart. But it was all for nothing.
"ARGGGGHHHHH! Damn it!" the woman screamed.
Moana was starting to feel frustrated because she felt lost. She felt like no one was willing to help her in a difficult situation like this. She didn’t even dare to leave her room for fear of facing the outside world.
People out there would surely mock her mercilessly. Her reputation was already ruined, and she was the talk of every media outlet. Moana didn’t even dare to simply go online or open the internet.
Moana sat leaning back, tugging at her own hair. It felt like karma from the universe.
"Sean...! How dare you treat me like this!" she screamed again. "Claraaaa, please! Help me!"

Meanwhile, elsewhere.
Roberto sat in his office with a pale face. No more cigars. No more expensive drinks. He stared at Leo, who sat calmly across from him.
"I kept my promise," Roberto said softly. "I stepped back. I handed all the operations back to Sean."
Leo gave a slight nod.
"You made the right decision," he said. "Because this isn’t about Sean."
Roberto swallowed hard. "I know."
"It’s about me," Leo emphasized.
The silence was oppressive.
Roberto lifted his head quickly. "I don’t want to deal with him anymore. I’m going to continue my work."
"Good," Leo replied. "Don’t be a loser mafia. You—."
Leo didn’t finish his sentence. He just snorted.
★★★
Late afternoon.
Clara sat in the car, staring out the window. The streets moved as usual, as if no war had just ended.
Leo sat beside her. Not touching. Not speaking.
"You know," Clara finally said, her voice soft, "I’m really glad to see Sean and Moana’s relationship fall apart."
Leo snapped. "Do you still harbor feelings for that insolent ex-husband of yours?"
"No, Leo. I’m just glad they fell apart on their own. Their relationship, which had always disgusted me, is finally over. Sean once humiliated me completely for standing up for Moana. And now that woman has humiliated Sean in front of everyone," Clara continued.
"Moana is completely ruined. I’m sure Sean will dump her because he’s bored of her." Leo paused.
"Let them enjoy the choices they’ve made." Clara paused.
★★★
Meanwhile.
In his quiet building, Sean stood in front of a large window. The city’s lights stretched out below him. His men stood a short distance away.
"Clara is safe, sir," one of them reported.
Sean nodded.
"What about Leo?" he asked.
"He’s leaving town."
Sean smiled faintly. It wasn’t a satisfied smile. It wasn’t a relieved smile. It was the smile of someone who had just lost a round—and was committing it to memory.
"Let things settle down a bit," he said.
"But this war isn’t over yet."
He stared at his reflection in the glass.
"And I’ll devise a plan that’s good enough for the future."
★★★
Moana didn’t have to go far to realize the world had already rejected her.
At the small café where she sat waiting for her cheap order, two women at the table behind her were sneering. They were deliberately speaking loudly so Moana would feel embarrassed in public.
"That’s her, right?"
"Yeah. She’s the cheap woman who used to be Sean’s mistress back when Clara was still his wife."
"Ugh, now she’s adrift and cast aside. She’s just a mistress—of course no one will ever fight for her."
Moana lowered her head. The hand holding her cup trembled.
On the street, people’s stares lingered too long. Some smiled crookedly. Others pointed openly. A man who had once shaken her hand at a social event... now spat a small glob on the sidewalk as she passed.
"Take that," he muttered.
"Now she’s a bum."
At the convenience store, the cashier stared at her phone screen, then at Moana’s face, then back at the screen.
"Hey, Miss Moana. So you’re not a rich man’s mistress anymore, huh? What a pitiful fate you have. God must be punishing you for ruining Sean and Clara’s marriage."
Moana fell silent.
The whole world seemed to be judging her.
No empathy. No curiosity. Everyone had already decided their role.
Moana was truly at rock bottom. To the world, she was the woman who stole another woman’s husband. Moana was a woman who slept with many men for power. Moana was an old story now fair game for ridicule.
In the cramped boarding house she’d finally moved into, the landlady sized her up from head to toe.
"Don’t cause any trouble here, okay?" she said curtly. "I know who you are. And I don’t want any trouble for taking in someone like you."
"Okay, Ma’am."
Moana’s nights were filled with notification sounds she never opened. Messages of hatred. Threats. Insults.
"Homewrecker."
"Deserves to be thrown away."
"Clara is too good; you’re too cheap."
Sean’s name was always mentioned. Clara’s name was always compared.
Moana hugged her knees on that thin mattress. There was nothing she could defend. Nothing she could clarify.
"It’s not just Sean who’s dead to me. But the whole world is mocking me." She whispered to herself.
Then, her hand reached for the worn-out bag lying under her bed. Moana felt around for a plastic bag containing a powder of poison.
She smiled bitterly. "Should I kill myself?"
