"Moshan, can you see what’s happening in there?" Marquis Mo asked.

Beside him, Moshan stood with his bow, a mountain of a man.

A moment ago, Marquis Mo hadn’t known it was Lin Hao. When he saw them turn on each other, he had told Moshan to hold his fire.

Moshan, bow in hand, shook his head. Though they had the high ground, the area was thick with dust and sand, making visibility extremely low.

But being unable to see didn’t mean he was out of options.

After closing his eyes and listening intently for a moment, Moshan’s eyes snapped open. In a low voice, he said, "Your Highness, I can’t see him, but I can pinpoint Lin Hao’s general location. The way his qi and blood are surging is incredible—like a raging river."

Overjoyed, Marquis Mo immediately ordered, "Loose your arrows! Kill every last person attacking Lin Hao!"

Moshan drew his bow and loosed an arrow with his eyes closed.

This time, he nocked three arrows to the string.

The three arrows flew as one, fast as a thunderbolt.

Without pausing, Moshan drew his bow again.

He repeated this a full five times.

Five draws, a total of fifteen arrows.

The exertion was so great that even a man as powerful as Moshan was slightly flushed when he finished.

If merely drawing the bow was this draining for him, one could only imagine the peril Lin Hao was facing.

As Moshan’s arrows found their mark, men in the chaotic dust cloud were continuously sent flying.

One of his personal guards immediately sounded a horn.

Hearing the call, the soldiers of the Mo Yun Kingdom surged forward as if possessed, charging madly into the ranks of the Cangnan Empire.

At that same moment, countless densely packed giants appeared on the distant cliffs.

They crouched, then launched themselves in a single leap, landing right on the Cangyun Battlefield.

As the giants landed, the entire Cangyun Battlefield trembled violently.

Without pausing, the giants leaped again, crossing to the far edge of the Cangyun Battlefield in a single bound.

Then, they attacked. A single sweep of an arm sent several soldiers flying like paper dolls.

These giants were the so-called Godslaying Guard. They had all cultivated the Blood Transformation and Bone Refining Skill.

Though it takes time to describe, it all happened in the blink of an eye. The Mo Yun Kingdom had seized control of the battle.

"Men! Invaders of our borders, no matter how strong, will be cut down! Kill!"

Just then, a mighty roar shook the battlefield.

From the Cangnan Empire’s ranks, a General, drenched in blood and wielding twin hammers, let out a furious roar.

The hammers were massive; one glance was enough to tell they weighed hundreds of pounds each.

Mid-roar, he charged one of the giants.

He swung a hammer, smashing it squarely into the giant’s right knee.

The giant buckled from the heavy blow. As it fell, the second hammer descended.

BOOM!

With one strike, the giant’s head was pulverized.

"What a man, that Shenshan. Moshan, go and deal with him. Imperial Sister, I must ask you to hold that woman off for me for a moment." Marquis Mo said, his gaze shifting from Shenshan to a woman on the opposing side, his eyes narrowing.

The woman, clad in armor, stood perfectly still, as if the battle had nothing to do with her.

’If I’m not mistaken, she’s the one who threw Lin Hao out here.’

’And the reason she isn’t moving is that her targets are me and Yunxi. She’s trying to capture the leaders.’

"That’s Duan Mushuang, a Saint Master from the Saint Institute and the Eldest Princess of the Empire. Her cultivation is just shy of the Spirit Transformation Realm, and you want *me* to fight her?" Yunxi’s voice was ice-cold.

To judge by her voice, she was no more than fifteen or sixteen years old and certainly lacked Duan Mushuang’s level of power. Yet, surprisingly, there was not a trace of fear in her tone.

Before Marquis Mo could answer, the very heavens seemed to change.

High in the sky, a simple, unadorned longsword slashed down at him.

The sword appeared out of nowhere, emitting no fluctuations. It seemed utterly harmless.

Yet Marquis Mo reacted as if facing a mortal enemy, slamming a hand onto the head of his Three-Eyed Demon Wolf.

Beside him, Yunxi did the exact same thing.

The next moment, both Marquis Mo’s Three-Eyed Demon Wolf and Yunxi’s giant, blood-red tiger roared in unison as their bodies began to expand.

RUMBLE!

High above, the longsword paused for an instant. Spurred by the roar, countless distant mountain peaks collapsed, boulders tumbling down like an avalanche of stone.

The sheer force of it was world-shaking.

But something even more astonishing was yet to come.

The blood-red tiger rose, its body swelling to over ten meters tall, casting an immense shadow over the Cangyun Battlefield.

It had become a true behemoth.

Then, the giant tiger swiped a claw toward the longsword in the sky.

That one claw alone cast a shadow that engulfed hundreds of soldiers below!

It was a terrifying sight.

The next moment, with a soft cry, Duan Mushuang shot into the air. She extended a graceful hand, and the longsword flew into her grasp.

Then, Duan Mushuang swung her sword, slashing down at the giant tiger.

Unafraid, the giant tiger met the longsword with one of its own claws.

CLANG!

Metal shrieked on impact, sending sparks flying.

The longsword sliced off one of the giant tiger’s claws, sending it flying into the distance.

RUMBLE!

The severed claw slammed into a nearby mountain, which instantly collapsed as if struck by lightning.

Below, Yunxi’s face paled.

"What are you waiting for? It can’t hold her off for long!" Yunxi snapped at Marquis Mo.

Marquis Mo slapped his Three-Eyed Demon Wolf, and the Demon Wolf immediately joined the fray.

Duan Mushuang’s figure shot off into the distance.

Her power was close to the Spirit Transformation Realm, but after transforming, the two Devil Beasts were nearly her match. The shockwaves from a battle between beings of this level would be more than the soldiers below could bear. Fighting here would cause mass casualties.

As Duan Mushuang flew off, the Demon Wolf and the giant tiger gave chase.

At that moment, Marquis Mo let out a great laugh, his voice booming, "Brother Lin Hao, don’t you worry! I’ve come to lend you a hand!"

His voice thundered through the clouds, carrying across the entire Cangyun Battlefield and echoing endlessly off Jumo Ridge.

Before his words had even faded, Marquis Mo shot forward like a great roc, diving straight toward Lin Hao’s location on the Cangyun Battlefield.

Though Moshan had just killed fifteen of them, one of Lin Hao’s attackers remained.

Lin Hao was currently locked in a desperate struggle with this last man.

Seeing Marquis Mo diving in for the kill, the man rapidly retreated, shouting, "You’ve got some nerve, Lin Hao! So you colluded with the Mo Yun Kingdom all along, just to lead the disciples of the Saint Institute here to their deaths!"

The man was completely encased in armor, his face hidden. Judging by his voice, he couldn’t be very old.

He was clearly skilled. After fighting Lin Hao for so long, his voice was only slightly breathless.

His voice, too, carried across the Cangyun Battlefield.

Lin Hao’s eyes went cold. His figure blurred into a wisp of green smoke as he lunged for the man.

But the man seemed intimately familiar with Lin Hao’s techniques. He had already moved, and Lin Hao’s attack grasped at empty air.

"I’ve exposed your plot, so now you want to silence me!" the man shouted again. He was using the same tactic as Marquis Mo—a battlefield-wide proclamation—to frame Lin Hao and paint him as a traitor.
