The third test was for agility: weaving through a series of posts.

The goal was to run from one end of the plum blossom posts to the other. The distance wasn’t great, but it wasn’t a straight line. One had to weave back and forth between the wooden posts in a serpentine pattern.

The head disciple said considerately to Zhao Lin, then called over a slender young man and instructed, "Xiaofan, run it once to show him."
