Red mist swirled in the air, and enraged flowers bloomed silently within the dead, emitting an eerie red glow. The battlefield was like a purgatory of flesh and blood. Young Knight Renard hid behind a rock, his chest heaving violently, his longsword trembling uncontrollably.

His comrades, Joss, Michelle, and Taran, had been fighting shoulder to shoulder with him just moments before, but now they lay amidst the chaos, their faces distorted beyond recognition by rage and vines.

“Madness—” Renard stammered.

He had seen Taran’s eyes turn red under the red mist, heard him roar as he plunged his longsword into a friend’s back, as if he no longer recognized his former comrade.

On the other side, an Icefield Wolf roared and leaped, pinning down a Broken Edge Army Knight, its sharp teeth tearing through his skull.

Red mist then rose, and the body quickly split open, vines writhing like blood snakes, forming a twisted garden of flesh and blood under the firelight.

“Run!” He heard someone shout in the distance.

Renard also wanted to flee, wanted to turn and leave this hell, but his legs wouldn’t obey, only trembling slightly.

He raised his massive hammer high, the muscles beneath his armor taut as steel, and the Knight’s talent buried in his bloodline instantly ignited.

The Frost Giants in front roared in unison. The monsters, which had been advancing separately, collectively turned as if ~Nоvеl𝕚ght~ pulled, their gazes locked on the man charging like a god.

Rage instinct, hatred instinct, all were projected onto Edmund alone.

The three closest Frost Giants roared and lunged, the snow ground exploding, enraged flower vines flying, like colossal beasts of the apocalypse.
