Chapter 22 - The Fly

Siman’s words hung in the air like a cold breeze.

"Yes, he terrifies me."

The calmness in his voice was unsettling like the quiet before a devastating storm. His gaze remained fixed on the golden-haired boy who stood motionless behind them. Something was wrong. Deep inside, Siman felt it. Something dangerously wrong, something that had seized his soul.

Lucas, still trying to grasp the oddity of Siman’s statement, replied in confusion, "What do you mean?"

His brows furrowed, eyes narrowing with caution but before he could press further, his hand shot up to his cheek in shock.

Siman’s expression changed instantly. His eyes widened, panic setting in. He stepped closer to Lucas, his voice tight and urgent.
