I knocked once on the door of Room 45 and gently pushed it open.

The room was feminine and organized, smaller than mine, designed for one person and making the most of the space. A desk with books stacked neatly. A window with the curtains drawn. Everything in its place.

"You came," she said.

"You left the door open."
