As the largest airport in all of Gaul and the second largest in Europe, the passenger traffic was immense. The airport was a veritable sea of people, packed from wall to wall!

"OMG! You guys, look! A motorcade is driving right into the airport!"

"For real? I haven’t heard about any major figures visiting Paris!"

"They’re all Rolls-Royces. It’s probably not official. If it were an official delegation, the vehicles would be more low-key and security-oriented!"

Instantly, crowds of people pressed against the glass curtain walls of the satellite terminal’s corridor. They whipped out their phones and started furiously snapping pictures of the motorcade. Who knew? They might capture a huge news story today, and maybe even make a little extra cash on the side!

On the private jet apron, the large jet carrying Su Chen slowly came to a stop in its designated spot.

"Young Master Wang, we have a problem!" Just as the plane came to a halt, a middle-aged man in a pilot’s uniform jogged over, his face etched with panic.

Su Chen and the others, who had been about to get up, froze in place.

Young Master Wang’s brow furrowed at the sight. If he didn’t know this airport had been serving the Wang family for years, he would have let loose a string of curses.

"What’s the matter? Why the panic!"

The captain swallowed hard. "I followed the tower’s instructions and parked in the private spot. But as soon as we stopped, I saw a motorcade of about ten Rolls-Royces pull up right in front of us. A bunch of men in black suits got out. I don’t know if the tower made a mistake and put us in some big shot’s designated spot..."

"Did you contact the tower? Ask them what’s going on?" Young Master Wang also realized something wasn’t right. He knew he didn’t have enough pull in Paris to have this kind of reception sent for him.

"Uh... I disconnected from the tower after we parked!" the captain said timidly. "To re-establish contact, I’d have to file a new request. The procedure alone would take half an hour."

Hearing this, Young Master Wang’s brow knitted even tighter. He paced back and forth for several turns.

"Alright, stop pacing in circles. Let’s just go down and see what’s what. Who knows, maybe they’re here for us," Su Chen said, though he sounded a bit uncertain himself.

Before his trip, Su Chen had specifically told Chen Mengyan he was coming to Gaul.

But this welcoming party seemed a bit too grand. He wasn’t entirely sure it was for him.

When Young Master Wang heard this, he stopped dead in his tracks and shot Su Chen an exasperated look. "Well, what do you know, Old Su! You’re enjoying the show, aren’t you? You didn’t say a word about a reception of this scale!"

Su Chen shrugged. "I’m just guessing. I don’t know for sure yet. Besides... how could the airport tower possibly make a mistake like this? Come on, let’s go down and see."

With that, he gestured for the captain to open the cabin door...

The captain glanced at Young Master Wang, who gave a slight nod of approval. Only then did the captain signal for a flight attendant to open the door.

Naturally, Su Chen led the way. If this reception was truly for them, Chen Mengyan’s figure was bound to appear.

And just as he expected, the moment Su Chen stepped off the plane, he saw two beautiful women exit the lead Rolls-Royce. One of them was Chen Mengyan.

Seeing Su Chen disembark, Chen Mengyan hurried forward, bowed respectfully, and called out, "Sir."

"Mm." Su Chen gave a slight nod, his gaze landing on Chen Mengyan.

Though she had only been in Paris for two months, to Su Chen, it felt as if she had undergone an earth-shattering transformation. Gone was her previous timidity, and her eyes now shone with confidence.

Once the woman was by her side, Chen Mengyan made the introduction. "Sir, this is Shuraya, President Arno’s first assistant. President Arno himself had planned to greet you, but he’s currently attending a conference abroad. He won’t be back until tomorrow."

"Mr. Su, welcome to Paris!" Shuraya said, her eyes glinting with an eagerness to please.

"Mm."

By this time, Young Master Wang and the others had disembarked from the plane. Seeing Su Chen conversing with the two beautiful women, Young Master Wang tactfully kept his distance, standing quietly off to the side.

If any netizens from back home were to see this, their jaws would hit the floor. The one and only "National Husband" being left to "stand in the corner" at a foreign airport? That would be an absolute bombshell of a news story.

"Let’s get going. The wind here at Charles de Gaulle is pretty strong..."

At his words, Shuraya immediately motioned for the bodyguards behind her to bring the car around.

Young Master Wang had intended to ride with Su Chen, but when he saw the two beautiful women get into the car, he tactfully chose a different vehicle.

A motorcade of over a dozen Rolls-Royces was incredibly conspicuous. All the way from the airport, people were taking photos with their phones. What was even more shocking was that official Paris media vans had been mobilized as well.

When Su Chen saw the official media vehicles appear, his brow furrowed slightly. He had no desire to become famous throughout Paris, let alone all of Gaul, by the next day.

Chen Mengyan, sitting beside him, noticed the change in Su Chen’s expression. She quickly leaned forward and murmured something to Shuraya in the passenger seat. Shuraya immediately pulled out her phone, made a call, spoke just two simple sentences, and hung up.

Less than a minute later, Su Chen noticed the media vans that had been driving alongside them were gone. He couldn’t help but marvel, ’The power of capital is truly everywhere!’
