Peninsula Hotel, 28th floor!

Chen Feiyu stared at the hotel room door, took a deep breath, and knocked.

After about ten seconds, the door opened.

CREAK~

Sicong’s head poked out from behind the door. "You’re here. Come on in!"

Chen Feiyu nodded to Sicong and strode inside, carrying a briefcase... only to see Su Chen sitting on the sofa, leisurely sipping tea.

"Mr. Su!" Chen Feiyu called out respectfully.

Su Chen’s gaze lingered on the briefcase for a moment before he waved a hand, gesturing for him to sit. He even poured him a cup of tea. "Don’t be so formal. We’re all friends here. Sit down, have some tea!"

Chen Feiyu sat down on the edge of the sofa, placing the briefcase he was carrying on the coffee table.

"Mr. Su, I deeply apologize for what happened. This is a gift from my father. Please, you must accept it!" As he spoke, Chen Feiyu pushed the briefcase toward Su Chen.

"Hm?" Noticing the flash of pain in Chen Feiyu’s eyes, Su Chen’s interest in the briefcase’s contents was piqued.

Without any hesitation, he pulled the briefcase over and took out a stack of documents from inside.

When he saw the words on the cover of the documents, he was somewhat surprised.

The document in his hands was a property transfer agreement. It was already signed and stamped; all that was needed was Su Chen’s signature for the contract to take effect immediately.

"The Chen family is certainly bold..." Su Chen placed the documents on the table.

Meanwhile, a curious Sicong leaned over and picked up the documents from the table.

"Mr. Charles, could you perhaps consult with the president and ask if this profit share could be lowered a little?"

Charles pursed his lips and shrugged, his attitude dismissive. "If Mr. Chen isn’t satisfied with this proposal, then I’ll have to consider seeking new partners."

Chen Yulong took a deep breath, forcing a smile onto his face.

"Mr. Charles, we can discuss this further. It’s getting late, and I’ve arranged for a special dinner here at the hotel. Why don’t we eat first and continue our talk afterward? What do you think?"

"Of course. I’d heard before I came that the Peninsula Hotel is ranked among the best in the world. I trust this meal won’t disappoint me!" Charles said meaningfully.

Chen Yulong could see it clearly now. This Charles was the type who wouldn’t act without an incentive. He definitely wouldn’t yield without some benefit, and by the looks of it, he was gearing up to make an exorbitant demand.

Just as Su Chen’s group of three stepped out of the elevator, they ran into Chen Yulong and Charles.

Chen Feiyu’s greeting drew Chen Yulong’s attention to Sicong and Su Chen beside him.

Watching the two of them walk away, Su Chen turned to Chen Feiyu and asked, "Who’s that foreigner?"

He asked mainly because he had noticed Chen Yulong seemed a bit too attentive to the foreigner, as if he were seeking a favor.

Chen Feiyu looked troubled, unsure if he should say anything. After all, this was a highly important trade secret... one that concerned the future of the Chen family.

Seeing Chen Feiyu’s dilemma, Sicong thought about the Chen family’s business portfolio and instantly guessed who that man was.

"Feiyu, that foreigner just now... he’s not from the Louis Vuitton Group, is he?"

As soon as the words were out, the color drained from Chen Feiyu’s face. He blurted out, "How did you know?"

A thoughtful look appeared on Su Chen’s face. He recalled Sicong specifically mentioning the Chen family’s luxury goods division when he’d first introduced them. ’So this kid knew all along.’

’Perhaps Sicong played a big part in the Chen family’s extravagant apology this time.’

’After all, Chen Feiyu and Sicong are on good terms, so he must have called to ask him about the situation.’
