Eternal Life Begins with Learning

Midnight.

The moonlight was hazy, dreamlike and illusory.

SHHHNK, SHHHNK. The sound of a blade being sharpened was incessant.

A whetstone, a half-gourd of clear water, a long saber mottled with rust.
