Alaric
The second the cameras stopped rolling, I stormed off the stage.
I could feel Nico’s eyes lingering on my back, but I refused to give him the satisfaction of looking back.
As we reached the edge of the paddock, I caught up with Dami for a brief moment.
"Hey, man. Great lap today," I said, my voice still unsteady from the aftermath of qualifying.
"Thanks, mon ami. See you in the garage," Dami replied, giving me a supportive pat on the shoulder before heading toward the Ferrari hospitality building.
I ducked into the nearest driver’s bathroom, relieved to finally escape the suffocating heat of the paddock and the blinding media lights.
I took a minute to splash cold water onto my face, staring into the mirror while trying to shake off the lingering irritation Nico had planted beneath my skin.
"Fucking crazy bastard."
But the moment I turned around to leave, I gasped.
Right there at the entrance stood my nemesis.
Nico leaned casually against the closed door, his arms crossed over his chest.
"What the hell, Nico?" I snapped, a curse slipping under my breath as I instinctively took a defensive step back. "What do you want? Get the hell out."
Nico did not move an inch.
Instead, his annoying brown eyes slowly trailed down my posture before a faint, entirely unbothered smirk appeared on his face.
"Relax," he murmured. "It is not like there is anything in here I have not already seen."
The casual reminder of his hands on my body sent a furious flush of heat crawling up my neck.
I gritted my teeth, refusing to let him see how easily he could still rattle me.
"Fine. Since you want to stay here so badly, then remain here all by yourself."
I marched forward, intending to shove past his shoulder and leave the bathroom, but the second I got close, Nico moved with lightning-fast racing reflexes.
His hand shot out, wrapping tightly around my wrist.
Before I could even process what was happening, he spun me around and slammed my back against the tiled wall, pinning both of my hands above my head.
"Let go of me!" I shouted, struggling violently against his grip.
The tiles were freezing against my back, but the moment his body pressed against mine, everything became suffocating heat.
"What the hell do you want?" I demanded breathlessly. "Why are you even here?"
Nico leaned closer, his brown eyes locking onto mine and trapping me completely inside his space.
"I came here with a bet."
I frowned.
A bet again?
Absolutely not.
There was no way I was agreeing to another one of his ridiculous games.
"Go shove your bet up your ass!" I yelled, twisting my wrists against his grip.
Nico chuckled softly, the low sound vibrating straight through my chest.
He tilted his head slightly, his lips brushing dangerously close to my ear.
"The only ass I am interested in is yours, princess," he whispered smoothly. "I am your mon chéri, remember?"
"What the hell is your problem?" I shouted back, my voice cracking under the weight of pure frustration. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
The mixed signals, the sudden disappearance after sex, and his casual arrogance toward me when he was only a beta and a complete lowlife at that, were all starting to get to me.
It was too much.
"I do not want to do this anymore, Nico. I am done."
Nico’s smirk faded slightly.
His eyes darkened as they searched my face, probably expecting me to falter, but I made sure to avoid his gaze.
"Are you giving up on me, Alaric?"
Giving up on him?
What the hell did that even mean?
But I did not answer.
I only glared at him, my chest rising and falling heavily.
Nico’s lips slowly twitched back into a knowing smile before he let out another soft chuckle.
"Wait," he murmured. "Are you sulking because I did not text or call you this week?"
I went completely rigid.
I looked away immediately, biting my lip hard to stop myself from confirming it, but my sudden silence already gave everything away.
"So that is what this is," Nico murmured, his voice softening slightly, though the smug satisfaction in his tone was still painfully obvious.
"Look," he continued after clearing his throat. "You know I rarely call or text anyone. It is just not my thing. But... I can make an effort for you, Alaric."
He paused slightly.
"On one condition."
I narrowed my eyes at him suspiciously.
"You have to unblock me on Instagram."
"Fuck you," I snapped instantly, turning my head back to glare at him.
Nico’s eyes dropped briefly toward my lips before he chuckled.
"I mean, a bathroom is honestly a pretty good place for that," he teased, shifting just enough to make me painfully aware of how close we were. "But that is not why I am here right now."
His expression sharpened again, competitive and dangerous.
"Like I said... I came for the bet."
"What stupid bet?" I snapped, twisting my wrists against his iron grip. "I do not care about any useless bet. Whatever this is, it ended the night you came to my penthouse. I am not doing this with you anymore, Nico. We are done."
I expected him to look angry.
Instead, a low, breathy chuckle escaped him, a sound so unhinged that it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
There was something almost manic in his eyes as he stared down at me, and for a moment, I was genuinely unsettled by the look on his face.
"The bet is not ending, princess," Nico murmured softly. "It is only getting started."
"You are crazy," I breathed, genuinely rattled now. "You are a literal psychopath."
Nico only shrugged before leaning down.
His hot breath brushed against my skin for a brief second before he buried his face into the crook of my neck.
His lips pressed hard against my pulse point before he sucked sharply, leaving a mark right above the collar of my fire suit.
A gasp tore from my throat before melting into a humiliatingly soft moan.
"N-Nico... stop. Get off me."
"Listen to the bet," Nico murmured against my skin, his voice dropping into a demanding whisper. "Listen to it first."
"You are out of your mind!" I yelled, trying to kick at his shin, but he wedged his knee firmly between my thighs, pinning me completely in place.
Suddenly, his free hand slid down the front of my unzipped suit.
I froze the moment his fingers slipped beneath the waistband of my underwear.
A desperate sound escaped my lips as he touched me, slow and deliberate.
Nico leaned closer, his eyes dark beneath the harsh bathroom lighting while his lips hovered dangerously near mine.
"Careful now," he whispered, a smirk cutting through his intense gaze. "You might want to lower the volume. This door is not soundproof."
"Fuck you... you absolute bastard," I cursed shakily, my head falling back against the cold wall as my body betrayed me completely beneath his touch.
I hated how easily he could make me ache for him.
"Agree to the bet, Alaric," he commanded softly.
"What bet?" I snapped through gritted teeth, frustration burning at the corners of my eyes. "What the hell is the bet?"
The second the words left my mouth, Nico abruptly pulled his hand away.
The sudden loss of warmth left me breathless and shivering as I nearly slid against the wall.
He released my wrists before stepping back with a smug, satisfied chuckle while wiping his hand with a paper towel.
"The bet is simple," Nico said casually, his voice returning to that maddeningly cool tone. "Tomorrow’s race. If you win, you have to come with me to a family event in Japan."
My eyes widened.
"What the hell? No. Absolutely not. I am not going to some family event with you."
Nico tilted his head, giving me a mocking look.
"What is the matter?" he asked smoothly. "Do not you like winning? If you want to avoid it, then all you have to do is overtake me on the track."
"And what if you win?" I snapped while adjusting my clothes angrily.
"If I win, the terms stay exactly the same," Nico chuckled, stepping closer to the door. "Either way, you are coming to Japan with me."
"That makes absolutely zero sense!" I shouted. "That is not even a bet. That is just you forcing me—"
"Do not you have faith in yourself, princess?" Nico interrupted lazily.
Before I could react, he suddenly delivered a sharp slap right across my ass.
"Ow! Nicholas Park!"
Nico chuckled.
"Tomorrow is going to be a great day," he said while pulling the door open.
Then he looked back at me over his shoulder with a devastatingly cocky grin.
"If you win, Alaric, you are coming with me. So brace yourself, princess."
His eyes flickered downward briefly before amusement flashed across his face again.
"And, uh... try to deal with that before engineering briefing."
He pointed mockingly toward the obvious bulge stretching tightly against my fire suit before laughing quietly to himself and stepping out into the hallway.
"Fuck you, crazy Park!" I shouted at the empty doorway, my face burning with pure rage and suffocating arousal.
"Fuck you."
