Beg Me Like You Mean It, Captain

Chapter 39: Go to hell, McCoy

Chapter 39

My inner Omega practically screamed in relief, desperate to inhale the comfort of his presence, while the interceptor in my bloodstream violently fought against it, making my stomach twist into a sickening knot.

"You really thought a piece of black-market trash would wash me out?" Reid chuckled darkly, the sound vibrating in the narrow corridor.

He reached out, his hand wrapping firmly around the back of my neck. His thumb deliberately brushed against the edge of the blister patch, his palm pressing into my feverish skin.

"Look at you. You’re shaking like a leaf, Evans. Your body is sweating, your pulse is racing, and you smell like a chemical spill."

"Don’t touch me," I hissed, attempting to swat his hand away, but my arms felt like they were made of lead. My weak blow barely brushed his forearm.

"You’re in no position to give orders, Cap," Reid murmured. His smoky grey eyes locked onto mine, dark and full of that familiar, predatory intensity.

He leaned down, his lips brushing the shell of my ear as he released a heavy, concentrated wave of his calming pheromones directly into my space.

"You’ve got great strategy on the ice, but this? This was stupid. I felt our bond pulling at me from across the city because your system is in absolute panic."

He tightened his grip on my neck slightly, anchoring me against him as my knees threatened to buckle entirely under the sudden onslaught of his scent.

"You know, you look so pathetic right now, not like how you looked on the ice," Reid continued, his voice dripping with that insufferable, snobbish satisfaction.

He slid his other hand down to my waist, effortlessly pulling my shivering torso flush against his solid chest.

"Evans, can you feel it?" He whispered. "Even while you’re taking these pills, I know you want me to fill you with my cock again. Your body doesn’t lie to me. It wants me right back inside you."

I closed my eyes, a long, ragged sigh shuddering out of my chest as I let my forehead drop against his shoulder. The utter frustration of my reality settled deep into my bones.

Right. I was a complete fool to think I could easily break the cage he had built around me.

He was still the exact same arrogant, perverted rookie who took pleasure in seeing me break. He didn’t care about my boundaries; he just liked having the perfect view from the top, knowing he held the strings to the Seattle Serpents’ captain.

"Go to hell, McCoy," I whispered into the fabric of his shirt, my eyes clamped shut as the fever and the withdrawal continued to tear me apart from the inside out.

"Not a chance, Captain," he chuckled, his grip remaining unyielding as he began to guide my weak frame back toward the bedroom. "I’m staying right here to watch you finish your little tantrum."

Cocky bastard!

"The interceptor should’ve done enough damage, right?" Reid murmured, his voice a low, gravelly vibration against my skin.

I don’t know what he meant by that, but something tells me he was referring to an avoidable pregnancy.

He pulled back just enough to look down at me, his smoky grey eyes burning with a dark, predatory hunger.

"Now, it’s time for me to work my own damage."

Before I could even process the threat, he let his grip slacken just enough to let his pheromones explode.

It wasn’t the subtle, clean scent he used to keep me stable before. This was a suffocating, heavy deluge of pure, concentrated Alpha dominance.

The frozen pine scent flooded the narrow space of my house like a tidal wave, thick and heavy enough to make the air feel completely unbreathable.

"No—" I gasped, my reflexes kicking in as I instantly slapped both hands over my nose and mouth.

I squeezed my eyes shut, desperate to block it out, but it was already too late. My body was in the middle of a chemical purge; my receptors were completely raw, and my skin was broken out in a heavy, shivering sweat.

Even with my nose covered, my open pores were acting like a sponge, sucking his scent straight into my bloodstream through every millimeter of exposed skin.

A violent jolt of pure heat shot straight up my spine, instantly short-circuiting my brain. The brutal nausea and the leaden weight in my limbs vanished, replaced by a sudden, terrifyingly sharp spike of raw Omega need.

My knees buckled completely.

Reid caught me before I hit the floor, his arms wrapping around my waist and lifting me effortlessly against his chest.

"See that? You can’t run from it, Evans," Reid chuckled darkly, his fingers digging into my hips as he carried me straight into the bedroom.

He tossed me onto the mattress, the sudden impact making my dizzy vision spin. Before I could even try to scramble backward, his heavy frame crawled over the blankets, pinning my legs down beneath his thighs.

He reached down, casually prying my trembling hands away from my face and pinning my wrists into the pillows above my head.

I gasped for air, and the moment I did, a lungful of his pine pheromones hit my throat, completely shattering the last line of my defense.

My inner Omega whimpered, my hips automatically tilting upward against his weight in an act of pure, humiliating submission.

"Look at you," Reid whispered, leaning down until his lips brushed against my feverish cheek, his eyes tracking the frantic pulse jumping beneath my hidden blister patch. "You went through all that hell just to end up right back under me. You really are an incredible piece of work, Cap."

"I hate you," I choked out, a tear of sheer frustration leaking from the corner of my eye as my body completely betrayed my mind, softening and prepping for him beneath my clothes.

"I know," Reid smirked, his snobbish, arrogant confidence returning in full force as his hand slid down to rip open my shorts. "Now beg me to ruin your little project."
