Unfortunately, Lord Rochefort was the reason they could travel to the country of Alderth with ease and comfort, and he had also provided the Demons with clothes - he was coming into the Vampire’s debt more than he realized.
"Very well," He agreed with reluctance, taking a step forward.
Ruoxi caught him by the shoulder to keep him in place, "We’ll come along as well," He said politely, his stare anything but.
"Servants show know their place-"
"I don’t remember referring to them as servants," Dulce cut in, "Your hospitality doesn’t seem to extend to my companions."
The words were spoken very lightly, more harmlessly pointing out the ongoings than a confrontation, but Rochefort flinched regardless.
"I apologize," He forced himself to say calmly. "However, this is a conversation for Vampires only."
Dulce stepped away from Ruoxi’s hold, "I’ll return soon." He said, not quite sure if he should say more. He hoped that they wouldn’t try to go for each other’s throats in his absence.
With those simple words, he walked off with Lord Rochefort, leaving behind three... two Demons.
Kath’tan and Ruoxi glanced over their shoulders at the same time. Asael had drawn the rear, but they easily felt the cold draft that went past them, the Shadow Demon fading into a dark wisp that dissipated into nothingness.
"How useful." Ruoxi murmured, turning to the Fiend. "What do you say we explore this dreary manor?"
Kath’tan stared blankly, the invitation catching him off guard. "Why would I want to see more of this?" He glanced around as he spoke, disdain spilling out of his eyes.
Ruoxi didn’t go through the trouble of smiling at the other Demons, he had no use for them. He simply walked off, slowly ambling down the dim hallways, which were only lit by means of candles and lanterns, not a single ray of light in the manor.
His cage had been sprawling, a large room, but it still lacked one vital thing these narrow, dim hallways had in excess, freedom. Ruoxi had no destination, content to slowly walk around until he ended in the wing they were assigned to.
He didn’t stop at his room, instead he went to the Vampire’s rooms, easily walking in. He wasn’t looking for anything useful, mostly because he knew he wouldn’t find it, but he hoped to gather information regardless.
Ruoxi went through the worn travel bag Dulce had brought with him, finding nothing new except maybe that the Vampire was impoverished. He didn’t linger long in the empty room, returning to his. Reassured that the Vampire wouldn’t die, he was less on edge, he simply had to make sure that his summons weren’t undone on a whim.
Perhaps the witch could come in handy, she might have an answer to one of his teeming problems; a way to not return to his cage when the summons were undone...
He walked to the windows and opened the heavy drapes, sunlight piercing into the room. He had no intentions of returning to the Hells, it was no place for an Incubus. His home had been decimated, there was nothing to return to.
The sunlight glinted off the mirror, drawing his attention to it. He walked over to stare at his reflection, all these years of being a wooden doll, he was surprised he still retained his features.
He stared at unfamiliar gold eyes, and they stared back, knowing that the true color of his eyes was lost to the past. Ruoxi turned away from the mirror and walked back to the sunlight, absorbing it like a flower unfurling its petals.
He was never supposed to escape, so why dwell in the past instead of making the most of the fortune that had fallen into his lap? Laughter spilled past his lips, which were the shade of palest pink. His laughter was broken and stifled, with a tinge of madness. It ended as abruptly as it began, and he made his way to the bed to lay on it.

Dulce followed quietly after Rochefort, curious as to how the Vampire lived so fearlessly when the Queen of Alderth’s men were searching every street and every home for Vampires. He wasn’t curious enough to ask, he couldn’t wait to leave.
"Here we are," Rochefort said with a nervous smile, opening the doors to a lavish drawing room.
It was done in deep reds and blacks, and it seemed not to have even a single window, either that or the drapes were so heavy, they blocked out every single ray of light. The room was lit up, and it was bright too. Two fireplaces roared from each end of the room, candles on candelabras and chandeliers drowned the room in warm light.
"Gentlemen," He addressed the room. "Lord Dulce Montesserat," He introduced grandly.
Whispers immediately started up in the room, which went quiet when Dulce stepped into the drawing room. The Vampire usually had a pleasant expression on, anger a foreign emotion on his dazed features, but as he walked into the room, there was the barest hint of displeasure on his striking features.
"I was of the opinion this was a simple conversation?" He glanced at Rochefort, his words cold.
Tense silence fell over the room as Rochefort scrambled to explain, "Of... Of course it is, I misspoke."
Dulce stared the room down, several sets of red eyes staring back at him. He frowned, jaw tense - he really wanted to leave. But he forced past the feeling and walked over to take a seat at the edge of the group.
The whispers started up again, the group too antsy to dare strike up a conversation with him. Dulce was aware that he was being very impolite, but he really couldn’t help it. He had already done his best by accepting being in the presence of so many Vampires.
The room was well-lit, but the artificial source of light meant that the shadows were much sharper. Asael blended effortlessly into them, he could already hide in plain sight right underneath the five suns of Flaeris, a dim room held no difficulty for him.
