Yandere Villainess Will Die!

A lone man stood, covered in vermillion blood head to toe, his cerulean eyes devoid of emotions, locked onto the bloody sight before him.

Blood flowed freely beneath his feet, a river of inky ichor. Crushed bones and mutilated organs dotted the river of blood like flotsam, a sight as grotesque as it was awe-inspiring.

Leonidas’s boots were slick with blood, but it didn’t bother him. What made him nauseated was the carnage he had caused...as if he were a wild animal.

He had lost himself in the revel of blood and bones...he who was supposed to have absolute control over his being had lost himself.

Haha...I’m so pathetic.

Maybe for others it might not have been a big deal, just a slight mishap, but for Leonidas...it was everything. His entire existence revolved around perfect control and confidence in himself, but if he lost himself once...couldn’t the same happen again?

It certainly could. Leonidas took a deep breath. It didn’t help, so he took another. Then another and another. He kept sucking in air like a broken vacuum.

It was unnatural. Why wasn’t he calming down...what was happening?

"Aghh!"

A sudden pain tore through his chest, sharp like the piercing edge of a needle. It stabbed into his heart, making him clutch it in pain.

A twisted expression fell on Leonidas’s face, his hand digging into his silky shirt, wrinkling it. The peculiar sensation slowly spread through his body, numbing his arm.

His hands soon fell limp against his body, dangling uselessly like a wet noodle. The sensation soon spread in a circle, both up and down. He couldn’t scream, the needles stabbing into his tongue and vocal cords, while down below, it stabbing into his thighs and legs.

With a strangled gasp, Leonidas collapsed to his knees, eye rolling backwards. His body felt like it was being violated by invisible stings. He was heating up, as if lava was flowing in his body instead of blood.

And all of it was originating from...

His gaze shot towards his wound, the one he had gotten from the smartest pilgrim. There, thick black veins pulsed alongside his heart, the foreign substance flowing into his body. All across his body, the veins marked his body like a poisonous marker.

Damn...dammit.

Why did it have to hit him right at this moment? He had just killed the last two pilgrims...the one who had poisoned him and his brother. How unfair life was.

Is this divine retribution? Is it really?

He couldn’t really think about it...mostly because he was dying. A dozen thoughts passed through Leonidas’s mind, all the information he had about his Edicts, the hexes on his weapons, his past training. Nothing, there was nothing that could help him get out.

The poison seemed to be one that first spread through his body and then activated, maybe by will? He had modified his [No Will] tendrils to act as a catalyst for his Insenium—the little that he had recovered—and stabbed his crystalline flowers into the last two birds.

Had it somehow activated the poison before dying? The answer wasn’t with him, not that it mattered.

I’m about to die anyway. I just wanted to stab that bastard at least once. How sad it is.

Leonidas chucked at his word choice. He had said "stabbed"; it seemed like Willow had taken her place in his mind with her... peculiar vocabulary.

Leonidas slowly closed his eyes, accepting the truth of his situation. In his vision, Peace had said that death was the ultimate solace; he would soon find out.

His eyelids felt heavy, and he closed them, letting the darkness take hold of him. Peace was just at the corner...but a rude, indignant voice shattered his expectations.

"Wake up, you useless cripple. No way I’m letting you die after you made me go through that hell."

Through his pain, Leonidas opened an eye, feeling as if a mountain was placed on them. Standing before him was a woman with long raven hair and eyes of the same color, only much deeper and colder. Dressed in draconic armor, she looked like an ancient warlord...or a general from the Circle of War.

Much closer to the latter, actually. The nebulous demon smiled at his pitiful state, and then...kicked him in the stomach.

It was a light kick, but a kick nonetheless.

Sh-she kicked me...

To say he was shocked would be an understatement. He wouldn’t have been this surprised even if he was told that someone out there could control every Source Element.

"I said, wake up. Cripple boy, do you have hearing problems too?" Even now, Willow taunted him. All of a sudden, she sighed, then kneeled beside him.

Her eyes tracked his body and the multitude of black veins pulsing beneath his skin like worms.

"How disgusting. You should be grateful I am here; anyone else and you would have undoubtedly died."

Willow closed her eyes and whispered something under her breath. The next second, she opened her eyes, but only this time they were glowing with a malevolent light.

Her gaze was cold, so cold, as if she had never felt emotions, no love, no fear. Had Leonidas not heard her talk before, he would have fled from the sheer fear emanating from her. His instincts screamed at him, not that Leonidas was going to listen to them. The useless bastards hadn’t warned him of the poison in his system.

Willow stared upwards for a moment, mouth open as if calling something, and then placed her hand on Leonidas’s shoulder, right where he had been wounded.

He hissed in pain, but didn’t cry out.

A sucking sensation spread across his body, as if all the blood in his body was being pulled to a single point.

The black veins slowly receded as they traveled towards Willow’s hand. She slowly raised her hand, and with every second, a copious amount of poison rushed out of his wound, forming a black sphere over his head.

At first, it was barely larger than a few grains of rice, but by the time Willow finished, it was big enough to barely fit in his hand.

"Yo-you..."

"Are amazing? Yes, I am. Now shut up and let me do my work." She cut off Leonidas and focused back on the ball.

Carefully lifting it, she poured a bit of Insenium into it, turning it into a solid ball of poison, basically a suicide pill...the size of a football.

Willow cut the ball in half, molded one half into a smaller, more perfect circle, and threw the other upwards. She snapped her fingers, and the ball burst into flames.

Leonidas stared at the woman... reevaluating her. She had turned out to be vastly different from what he had expected. It was...dangerous.

Noticing his gaze, Willow turned to look at him, eyes back to normal.
