Just as Mo Lingwei’s eyes filled with killing intent, the tall grass was pushed aside.

The guard who had fallen earlier hobbled out.

He was injured somewhere. By the moonlight, Shen Ningning could see that one side of his face was covered in blood.

The little girl’s hands trembled violently at the sight of so much blood, but she kept her wits about her. She opened her waterskin and poured Spiritual Spring Water onto the wound.
