Inside the barriers, two men and a beast stood.
Reginald looked at Vidu as he no longer looked human in any way.
Foam and saliva dripped from his mouth accompanied by specks of blood, caused by Hawk.
Vidu growled, roared deep and loud and strode forward. Fast as before but lethal beyond any measure and heavy like something from mythology itself.
Hawk braced himself, he could no longer fight like he did earlier.
The human Vidu was the weakest, his current appearance was what gave him the moniker of The Fiend.
Bestial types of blessings are in most cases inherited through a bloodline, passed from one generation to another.
Certain noble families and clans are known for such blessings, for they have special requirements to shine in comparison with other blessings.
Vidu, without any doubt, was a mistake left behind by one of such nobles.
Bestial type blessed seek to tame a wild, ferocious beast and link a bond with them. The stronger the beast is, the more powerful their transformation will be.
What Vidu bonded with was the infamous Red Coat Bear, a beast who only considers itself the king of glaciers. An entity that is only defeated by cursed beasts.
Giant, muscular and powerful enough to rip apart any individual with nought but a slap. Rumours said its jaws can rupture sindhium metal.
How could a man like Vidu tame such a beast, a thought that worried everyone. Though the answer was simpler than it could be considered obvious.
It was Morris!
Hawk raised his arms and lowered his posture, he turned his feet into diamond too and glided, the distance closed within the blink of an eye.
Vidu swung his gigantic arm, now a paw, equipped with blackened claws, each five inches long. His hand was thrice the size of Thane’s.
However, one thing that didn’t change was his speed.
Hawk could still read it, he ducked and missed the attack by a hair’s breadth and retaliated with a leg kick.
His shin turned into diamond as it fell on the giant human-bear’s calf.
A sickening loud bang resounded, Hawk felt that he had hit something no less firm than a hill.
Nevertheless, Vidu didn’t budge an inch. He gave Hawk a side look with his beastly eyes and gave him a backhand slap.
Hawk couldn’t dodge that, he was too close and the hand was too big. He was tossed aside, he rebounded once, twice before hitting the barrier. Like a puny fly swatted by a big man.
The entire floor was now in a mess, Hawk was diamond skinned when he hit the ground, breaking it every time his body touched it.
In the VVIP room, the eyes were now stuck on Vidu Morris and Hawk, with few exceptions.
The golden masked guy was now looking at the man in the frog mask.
The latter gently bowed his head and walked towards Max.
He wore a robe of very fine material, silk perhaps, giving him a very specific appearance, attention gathering. Contrary to the normal clothes of the other guests.
His shoulders were broad, he was slightly taller than John Prada. He removed his mask, beneath it was a very seasoned looking face with a full thick beard.
Two lines on his face indicated his status as blessed. His frame was opposite to Max’s, slightly resembling Thane in a strange manner.
But his eyes and silky flowing combed brownish hair were no different from Max’s, he gently tapped his son’s head, gave his messy hair a gentle stroke as he said. "You sure are our son, relax now. Your father has come."
These words struck like a powerful burst of energy, Max felt as if he now possessed a power to rival five-lined blessed or maybe, six-lined.
A mother would give her son unconditional love but it is the father whose absence burdens the shoulders of the son. A living father is a son’s greatest backing.
He then pulled Max to his chest, giving him a warm hug that he craved for eternity. He then looked at John with a smile. "How have you been, Johny?"
"I am exhausted, your son is crazy," he replied.
"He copies you, after all."
They both then gave a chuckle, he then looked at Thane and gave a nod, tapping his shoulders which were even broader than his own. He raised his eyesbrows in appreciation.
Ildiem stood. "What a pleasant surprise, Antonio. Good heavens, it’s been ages since we last met."
When the word Antonio was heard, all the gazes within the VVIP room pivoted towards the owner of that name.
"Antonio Goldcaster, you are alive!" said the man in the orange mask.
Antonio gave a smile, his lips hidden under the thick beard. He recognized the voice and replied, "I certainly am, grand st-"
"I am Mr. Orange. Haw Haw," said the man in the orange mask.
Antonio nodded his head. "My apologies, Mr. Orange."
Meanwhile, inside the barrier.
Hawk rose to his feet, his bones were now shaking from the impact. The barriers were unbreakable.
He took a deep breath and looked at Vidu. "1st gift. Diamond Configuration." 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
As soon as he uttered the words, two inch diamond spikes jutted out from his knuckles, a blade similar to the wings of a swallow protruded from his elbows. A spearhead formed from his knee and his shin turned into a slim sharp sword.
Hawk’s blessing was called ’Embodiment of Diamond’, and his first gift was Diamond Configuration which allowed him to manipulate and reshape parts of his body to his liking, as long as he was in diamond form.
The remaining parts of his body, from his hair, skin and eyes to his toes, turned into diamond as well.
Vidu growled, he had seen that before but never against himself.
He bared his fangs and dashed on four limbs, a behemoth’s charge leaving not the slightest chance for a successful block or parry.
Hawk firmed his stance and glided forward to meet his nemesis.
The march met, the same low kick was thrown. It hit at the same spot, but this time the blade on top dug inside like an axe stuck in wood.
Vidu paid no heed to the pain, he opened his mouth. Massive, sharp, sword-like teeth gleamed beneath the barrier radiations.
The giant bear gnawed at Hawk’s diamond shoulder, and yanked him like a torn piece of cloth trapped on a branch, flapping with every passing wind.
And then, they heard a crack, something broke.
