The sword strike seemed unremarkable, but in the eyes of his opponents, it was like a thunderclap splitting the night sky. Their expressions changed, but it was already too late to dodge.

With a single pass of the blade, the three bodies were split into six pieces, severed at the waist. Blood sprayed everywhere as they collapsed to the ground.

The faces of everyone in the courtyard changed dramatically.

Another scream rang out.

For a moment, even the wind and rain seemed to stop. Then, as Chen Che clenched his fist, the strands of rain converged like a tornado. In an instant, the endless storm transformed into a hail of bullets!

A tearing sound filled the air. The disciples fleeing through the sky were instantly riddled with holes by the raindrops, falling to the ground like birds with broken wings. THUD, THUD, THUD.

"One left..."

Chen Che turned his head to look.

This Primordial Sect disciple had been wounded by Sword Qi earlier and was staggering out of the courtyard. When he saw Chen Che look his way, his foot froze mid-stride, caught in a moment of sheer indecision.

"Chen Che, you dare to attack us? Aren’t you afraid of the Primordial Sect’s retaliation..."

"I am."

Chen Che nodded.

The disciple’s face lit up with joy. It was a good sign that Chen Che was afraid.

He was just about to speak when Chen Che flicked his finger. A streak of Sword Qi shot out like an arrow, and with a dull thud, a spray of blood erupted from the back of the disciple’s head. He was utterly and completely dead.

’Why would you kill me if you’re afraid?’

His eyes were wide with incomprehension.

It seemed that even in death, he couldn’t understand why Chen Che would still dare to kill him despite being afraid of the Primordial Sect’s revenge.

And so, in the ruined courtyard, not one of the thirteen Primordial Sect disciples remained, leaving only Chen Che standing alone.

Blood stained the ground red before being washed away by the heavy rain.

"Much better... I’ve finally let off some steam."
